Brass Works Clock is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brass works clock This is a very nice clock, we hung it as a focal point in our living room, and have received many compliments. My favorite part is how the center mechanism moves, and it is open, so you are able to see our wall color through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT TIMING!! What an awesome clock!! My husband & I were always squinting to see the time when we were in our family room watching TV. We have very high ceilings & The Brass Works Clock fit the bill perfectly. We mounted it high above our Entertainment center!! No more wondering what time our next favorite TV show is coming on! It also was a nice addition to our décor! So happy with our purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive clock Nice clock, just one peeve...the description states one moving gear above the minute and hour hands, which I assumed was one that would be visible from at least a short distance. However it is one centered on the pin on which the hands move and it is barely 2 inches in diameter...it's movement only reassures you that the clock is working after you place the batteries. The clock is a nice size, making it visible from our loft and the first floor.

Why is "4" IIII and not IV?

Asked by: jimmyjohn
Thank you for your interest in the Brass Works Clock. The main reason why it is listed ar IIII and not IV is for symmetry reasons. If one were to divide the watch face vertically, exactly 14 Roman characters would appear on each side of the dial (left & right). If "IV" were used, it would throw off the perfect symmetry of the watch dial.
