Rated 3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Purchase! We bought the compass coffee table for the den in a house we rent to others over the summer. It is perfect. Well made, sturdy but not too heavy, and good looking! We're not worried about spills or stains, and love the look. July 26, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay I received this today. It was very well packed and arrived in good condition. The relief on the top is more noticeable than the picture seems to indicate. I'm not sure I'm going to keep it as I'm not sure I like it in person as much as in the picture. February 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Color is nothing like the picture I ordered this table in antique nickel and even though it was correct on the box, the table inside was antique brass. Customer service was wonderful and they initiated an exchange for the correct color. A few days later the new one arrived, it was nickel but looks nothing like the picture. It is like a dark charcoal grey. Love the table but I still hate the finish. Would send it back if it weren't such a hassle. August 14, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Excitement gave way to disappointment. I've been receiving Grandinroad catalogs for some time now, and have been reading customer reviews carefully because I am wary of purchasing items that I can't see in person. I finally took the plunge with the compass coffee table in antique brass last week when it went on a one day sale that made it worth it, or so I thought. My first reality check came when the shipping charges more than doubled in order to purchase the table "on sale", but hey, the price was so low, I figured it was worth the extra shipping charges. Yesterday the table arrived, and I couldn't wait to open it and get it into my living room! It came well packaged in a very large, heavy duty box without any exterior damage or dings. I opened it, only to find another very large, heavy duty box inside, with sufficient padding to keep that box in place inside the other. I opened the second box and lifted the table out. Get ready for disappointment number two: the top edge of the table "tray" was scratched (not a part of the finish, just flat out scratched) in at least three different places. I called my son over to look at it, and he concurred that this was not an intended feature of the antique brass finish. HIs conclusion: send it back, Mom. We completed the return form, packed it right back up and took it over to UPS using the return shipping label provided. Note: I said "we". My son had to come with me because the box was too big for me to move into the car and then into UPS by myself. Disappointment number three: It wasn't free return shipping. I'll be paying a fee for the privilege of this inconvenience. Now I'm left wondering if they refund the exorbitant shipping fees they charged me to receive a scratched table in the first place. I'm cured. Once and done with Grandinroad. I guess I should have trusted my instincts not to order something that I couldn't see in person. I'd rather go to one of the local retailers that sells items at a similar price point and preview my purchases so I know what I'm really getting. I would have given this experience zero starts, except I had to give at least one in order to submit the review. You should also know that my first review was rejected because I listed the actual shipping fees. On the plus side? I know I won't be making another expensive mistake with Grandinroad when I redecorate a room we're renovating. Good thing, because I had my eye on some possibilities, but I've now crossed them off of my list. October 20, 2016

My table has scratches all around the top edge. Is this normal in the brass? Can I polish them out? Should it be smooth like the legs? Thanks!
