Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by SO COOL! I am in love with this little light. It casts an enormous, dynamic, glowing network of light, giving a fiery effect to the room. I can't wait to use it behind my vignette of witches bending over their hot cauldrons. August 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Halloween Lighting Effect I bought two just to try them out, then went back for six more! It has a great flame effect, however, where you place the light determines the effect you get. Straight up on a wall shows the ice and fire effect the best; when the light reaches the ceiling you see what I would call a "pool reflection" effect. I placed mine outside the apartment building I own, about 3-4 feet from the building, and it lit up both stories of the building beautifully. I plan on using some of them in the corners of the room I use for my annual Halloween party in addition to having them light up the front of my building. Try them, I think you'll really enjoy adding them to your Halloween decorations and effects! I've ordered several of the Fire and Ice Lanterns, when they come I'll write another review on them. I was told by a product specialist that the lanterns TO have an on button #see review on them#. August 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW!!! LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!! I LOVE, LOVE THE NEW FIRE AND ICE SPOTLAMPS! I ORDERED 3 FOR MY HOME HAUNT AND THEY ARE SO COOL AND REALISTIC! THE PRICE IS PHENOMENAL TOO!! I JUST HOPE THEY WORK WELL FOR A LONG WHILE! IF YOU WANT A FLAME AND FIRE EFFECT THEY ARE FOR YOU! THESE WILL LOOK GREAT IN A ROOM SCENE OR WITH A WHITE SHEET ON A WINDOW PROJECTING THE FLAMES! August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by KILLER lights! I bought three to make a huge tree and my house look like they're burning - incredibly real looking. May have to get more! August 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better then I expected I received this light today and thought it was going to be a much smaller piece. I was going to use tin foil behind the display to enhance the "fire" look but there was no need to. It is bright and easily lit the 6' X 8' area I wanted it for. The cord is also nice and long so I will not have to use and extension cord. August 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dramatic Halloween effect! I love this unique spotlight! I plan to use mine outside to light up a big oak tree which I fill with prelit jack-o-lanterns to make it look like the tree in Ray Bradbury's "The Halloween Tree" movie! Always a hit with the trick or treaters and this light will definitely add to the charm in the neighborhood! August 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wish I'd bought more! Love the effect! I was skeptical about how much light something so small could cast, but it is amazing! It is a really great "fiery" effect. I'm so pleased that I'm going to buy a couple more for outside too. August 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hauntingly hypnotizing As soon as I received the Fire and Ice spotlight I had to try it. I am delighted. So much so that I just ordered another and may order another on my next payday. The rippling effect is hypnotic, like a red, yellow and orange Aurora Borialis. I'll be flooding the front of my house with these this Halloween. In regard to quality and durability, since I just received it today, it is too early to judge but it seems well built. Time will tell. At this point, though, I am very pleased. August 14, 2014

How big an area does this light?
Would one cover the front of a house well that's 25' long x 30' high? I want it to look very good, not just dully lit! Or should I use 2?

Answer:
See my review. The light shown all the way up to the top of a two story building....very pretty and mesmerizing! However, it was only about 5-6 feet wide. Fankly, this light makes a very strong statement and lighting up your whole house might be a little much; I would use them for "column" style lighting.

Answer:
One would work, but I recommend two. However, I have a two-story colonial and I originally used two. The effect was fine, but I added a third light so I could get even more coverage.

Answer:
It would light up the area you describe quite well. At least it does for our house and the further back you pull it the wider it goes (obviously) but the quality is still great.

Answer:
Before I answered your question, I took one of my lights outside and aimed it up on a tree in my yard. I had only tried them directed at the wall of my building. When the light is aimed at the side of a solid object, the effect you get is flames shooting upward (at least that's how I view it). I have a two story apartment building and the light shines all the way to the roof line...very cool. When I aimed the light on a tree what I saw was a slightly different effect. You know how the water in a pool looks at night when you see the "wavy" effect on a nearby walls or trees? Well, that's how the light appears on a tree. It’s a great effect and very stunning, your tree looks like its glowing orange and red. However, I don't see as much of the flame effect like I do on a solid surface.

I don't know what affect you are looking for, but I can say; wherever you use these lights you are sure to create a fantastic effect. I LOVE these lights, and, from the reviews I've read, so does everyone else! As soon as I received mine and tried them...I WENT BACK FOR MORE!

I hope this answered your question.
