Life-size Haunting Helsa Halloween Figure 4.3 5 93 96
Not made well !! She is top heavy and tips over. The base is very flimsy and doesn't hold her up. Also her dress isn't long enough and the base shows. Only thing I did like was her face very creepy. Lucky Grandinroad has a great return policy. August 2, 2014
Awesome in dim lighting I love her, she looks so good when she is standing in the light or when it's dark or minimal light. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because the stand could be stronger. July 16, 2014
good deal I bought this last year she is pretty cool. she is kinda creepy. for me money well spent . the only con with her is the frame under her dress is cheap, but that can be resolved,,with a pipe for more support so she does not lean July 11, 2014
perfection! i bought the other life size Venetian figure thru amazon (better price here btw).. then i found this gem! so happy i made this purchase coz she's juz as creepy & beautiful @ the same time! can't wait to put em both out! August 7, 2014
Helsa is spooky! I got Haunting Helsa along with Vincent Vampire and Venetian Victoria, a Dracula and his brides theme for my front yard. I put them out on weekends from Friday to Monday and left the eyes on the entire time. I did not have to replace batteries. her dress is just a bit to short and wont cover the stand that she is on so you will need some type of fabric to disguise this. For the inside she is perfect for outdoor use her hair is a bit thin in the the back and dress not long enough. She is very much worth the money but not perfect. Out of the three that i chose she needs the most adjustments. My favorite part she folds up very small for storage. I wanted to order last year but was worried about the space for storing them. Basically she is a head and a breast plate on a pole so the poles pop apart and you are left with the size of her head and breast plate for storage. I am overall happy with my purchase November 9, 2012
Elegantly spooky, works with some modifications I love her look. I don't have a problem with her hair, it SHOULD be matted (she's fresh out of the grave!) But, everything other reviewers have said about the flimsiness of the stand is correct. However, Helga is just way too cool to give up on. So, I have combined and used tips from a couple different reviewers. The plastic connectors for the metal rods are the weak link, and they break eventually because she leans forward since all of her weight is toward the front. So, first I replaced the two metal rods with one wooden dowel the length of the two metal rods together. That made it necessary to use only one connector at the top of her torso, instead of two, adding stability. Since I couldn't do anything about the lightweight plastic stand I tethered her by the neck to my porch light using filament that becomes invisible when you hide it under her hair. Also, I added a little more muslin at the bottom to completely cover the stand. So, this can be made to work fairly easily. Still, I'd prefer to pay $10 more and have a sturdier stand. So Scary!!!!! I bought Helsa for my husband because he loves Halloween as a surprise and he loved her. As soon as we got her we scared our kids by just having her stand in the hallway. I had to keep her in the back closet because my cat kept trying to play with her dress and even though I put her back there when I opened the door; I was so scared I couldn't speak and had tears in my eyes when I went into the other room. My kids also forgot she was there, opened the door and I could hear them both scream throughout the house. On Halloween, we had numerous people that would not walk all the way to the front door because they were scared of Helsa. She is a huge hit and looks great. The lighting eyes do not work well and we couldn't get the arms to move but we actually like them just the way they are. She is scary enough not to need her eyes to light up. We are buying the stone lady this year and I expect to have a lot of left over candy this year!!!! August 2, 2012
Like opening my-size doll for Christmas! She is a delight and frightfully perfect in every way! LOVE HER! I love the simplicity of the muslin fabric, the prayer and plaintiff gaze of those haunting eyes so frail yet fierce. She does lean a bit but one does bow forward in prayer...as her hands are clasped. I felt she would be great paired with the headless boy...looking over him in despair out in the graveyard. I love the gothic look of her dark hair and although it is a yarn-type hair I feel it is more like the antique mohair wigs rather than synthetic hair that would detract from her authenticity. Her face is superb. Also, no complaints with her stand...get some garden spikes for holding down edging and place several around her base into the ground and she won't tip in the wind. I like the nails plain and white not painted black...I think black nails impart a ghoulish appearance and I like her to be natural and not detract from her beautiful face as reverent and sad and when the lights come on, downright frightful! Can't wait to put her out on Halloween with the headless boy. She is well packed and light weight and easy to put together. October 21, 2013

Answer:
It is one long metal type rod holding both Haunting Helse AND Venetian Victoria. I don't think it's strong enough I love the props, I have them both, but be mindful if you have a strong wind and it's on a covered porch, it's probably going down. We anchored ours with a weight over the base, a plastic "X" shaped base which the metal rod sticks into, but I don't know if you're interested in going that far!

Answer:
There is a metal rod that sets into a base. Once your screw the rods together and then insert it into the base, you can then slide the prop on to it. She is all in one so she is easy to assemble and the base has four arms so its very sturdy.

Answer:
A "Christmas tree" like base holds her up along with a metal rod under her dress. There is a crinoline liner under her skirt and Victoria is made the same way. They are quite stable for indoors and you might have to put a stabilizer of some weight if they were outside so the wind would not blow over. They are definately NOT weather proof. They need to be brought in at nite to stay looking good.

Answer:
I only have Helsa, but there is a metal rod the length of her body and it sits in a four footed plastic base. (Very easy to put together) The base makes her very sturdy and her dress covers the base for the most part.

Answer:
Her body is on a metal pole that attaches to a plastic stand. She is very sturdy. She can stand perfectly tall and scarily proud on her own. We have her in a window looking out.

Answer:
The prop is attached to a Styrofoam form, shaped like shoulders & arms. Arms and hands are bent like the picture. This prop comes with a stand that is similar to a Christmas Tree stand. Center part of stand is round, and 4 legs that slide into the center base. The legs are wide enough to keep her balanced, and stands upright. Prop comes with poles that attached to the Styrofoam form and the stand.

Answer:
Both the Haunting Helsa and Venetian Victoria figures have a stand with a pole that connects to the base of the figures head. There is no body - the gown makes it appear that there is a body. This is how they pack up so easily for storage in such a small box.

I highly recommend both figures! Very realistic and a great value for the price!

Answer:
Both Helsa and Victoria have a metal pole shaft that fit into a footed base. I found they are very sturdy. I have them on my covered front porch, but I alson secured the to a heavy table so they wouldn't walk off.

The only thing under Helsa's dress is the metal pole that supports her. The dress is well made and you can't tell that there's no body.
