Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Lady in Black Really like the look of this figure. We own several Grandin Road life-size figures and this is now one of my favorites. The eyes with tear effect is really cool! Our trick-or-treater families are going to love her!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Prop! This is by far the best prop I have ever bought. My whole house gets decorated & every year I try and buy 3-4 new items. I picked this item for its size and for the fact it wasn't outrageously priced. Even my husband said he thought this was the best prop I have ever bought. If you buy anything for Halloween this year, you must buy the Lady in Black!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, "realistic," at a great price The Lady arrived yesterday, along with Victorian Venetia, and we love them. Extraordinarily easy to assemble, very detailed costumes, and so creepy that you cannot look at them at night in your own house, so beware! Your friends and neighbors will love them. But be warned, do not open the box alone unless in broad daylight. They really are creepy!! This was a great value at this price. The Lady's hair is long and silky, while Venetia's is matted, more like cotton balls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Prop The lady in black quickly became my focal point when planning for my cemetery scene. She looks amazing and is a traffic stopper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep getting Better Lady in Black is the fifth figure we have purchased. Sturdy, life-like and the costumes are first class. Look forward to collecting more in the coming years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so happy with lady in black Just received her, put her together, couldn't be happier. She is taller than I expected, which is great, I love the eyes, and her lips are blood red. I bought the Venetian ghost lady last year, love her too. Have no doubt they will make an awesome pair on my porch this October.

Can she sit?

I'm thinking she'd make an awesome nanny for my many OOAK horror dolls and was wondering if I might be able to place her in a rocking chair, or if she can only stand. Standing only is still do-able - instead of rocking them, she can simply stand watch over them in their cribs, coffins, and playpens :-) From looking at the ghostly bride who can sit, I'm thinking the Lady in Black can only stand since the bride comes with two sets of pole assemblies. So... is she able to sit, or only stand? Thank you!

You may be able to make her sit. The support pole comes in three sections that connect with plastic connecting tubes. If you removed one of the sections, she might "sit"in a chair, with the base attached, and her skirt hiding the pole and base. I think it might work. We have ours standing, and she is very realistic and spooky, especially if the light is not too bright. Her face is deathly white, and in low light, she seems very realistic.

Is the Lady in Black okay for use on a covered porch?

It is a covered porch but not enclosed. I'd like to put her in the back corner closest to the front door.

Thank you for your interest in Grandin Road. The Lady in Black figure can be used on a covered porch, but we would recommend bringing her indoors during inclement weather.
