Over-door Beveled Door Mirror 4.6 5 159 167
Beveled Door Mirror Not Just for Doors My apartment is very small and there is only one interior door, but it's a pocket door with frosted panes top to bottom. Next to this bathroom door, there is a short expanse of wall that I couldn't put any furniture on. It was the only place in the bedroom I could hang a mirror on, but every mirror I found was either too small or the wrong style. Then I found the over-door Beveled Door Mirror at Grandin Road. Right size and great style. The only question was, could I hang it on a wall, instead of a door? After reading some comments, I decided it was worth the chance. My bedroom has 5' tall wainscotting all around. I cut a narrow slot into the top rail of the wainscot, about 1" deep. The mirror has a permanently attached bracket on the back that, under normal use, the rectangular hoop and door bracket are attached to (no tools required); but for my use, the bracket fits into the slot I cut. It is at the perfect height and hangs snug to the wall. It gives me a full-length view to make sure I am presentable to the public and it's a beautiful addition to my traditional style and eclectic decor. I am a repeat customer of Grandin Road. It is products like this that keep me coming back for more. May 19, 2014
Best Door Mirror Out There!! I just received this over the door mirror ( in record time I might add ) and it is beautiful! I was very hesitant in ordering it on line ( sight unseen ) but it was in perfect condition. Since it was glass I really didn't know what to expect. It was well packaged & the best thing of all is that it hung right up out of the box. I was worried that I would have to attach screws or some kind of hardware to the back of it but it's already there. I almost didn't order because of that concern. No hardware at all needed, just place 1 u shape metal plate over door & the other over back of mirror, put handle over back of mirror & that's it. It really is the best door mirror I've seen and I have looked every where. My first time ordering from Grandinroad & I am sure glad I took the chance. Will be a returning customer, for sure. Best Mirror To my surprises how well the mirror was packed: boxes in boxes! Got the boxes opened and here came the beautiful, quality mirror, its instruction for hanging, and all assessorires. Took me a few days to decide which door to hang. The hanging was so simple and once it's up, I admired how beautiful the mirror with beveled edge, its width and length were perfectly fitted on the door. Yes, it will flopping a little each time the door is moved so I taped the back of the mirror with 2 pieces of Command Strips and solved the flopping noise. I don't see any distortion from the mirror as some viewers mentioned. Thanks GR, the services was wonderful. I appreciated the quality of the mirror, the packagings and the communication to inform me each step from when the product was leaving your warehouse to when it's at my front door. Highly recommended GR to anyone i know!! March 29, 2014
Great product I looked for a long time to find this over the door mirror. I arrived quickly and was packed safely. Took longer to unpack than to install over the door. Quality image. June 12, 2014
Very pleased I had wanted a full length mirror for some time, so when I saw this I decided to try it. We live in a fairly new condo, so the door thickness was not an issue, and I have had no problem with it bumping around when the door is opened and closed, although from other reviews I was prepared to use a velcro strip to "paste it down". I also do not think it distorts my "image" as some have reported. It is very attractive and useful. May 22, 2014
Great concept, but..... I was very excited to come across this mirror. I recently renovated my master bath and chose to use individual mirrors over the new double sinks. However, this left me lacking for a "better view" to check out the overall look in the morning. Being in short supply of wall space, I didn't want to cheapen the look of my beautiful new bathroom with a screw on door mirror. I ordered this product with high hopes! It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. This mirror definitely has style and is lovely in weight and substance. My only issue is the width. I have lever style door handles throughout my home and unfortunately, the doors available in my bathroom (commode door and linen closet door) are not sufficiently wide enough to accomodate this mirror without interfering with the operation of the door. I'm keeping the mirror, just have to make a new game plan on where to locate it. Be sure to measure and calculate to make sure it will fit before you purchase. November 12, 2012
Great Mirror Looks and fits perfect. Super happy how it came in very well shipped. May 19, 2014
Got what I wanted and expected It arrived in perfect condition. Is exactly what I wanted for my very small apartment and looks great on the inside of my outside door. It is very heavy for someone up in years but I had help. Think I could have managed on own but would have taken a lot longer to get out of the excellent packaging. The look is elegant. May 9, 2014

Answer:
No the handle at the top is not permanently attached...which is a good thing. But it does not attach at the bottom. This is a problem when you open or close the door...with no attachment at the bottom the mirror flops back and forth.

Answer:
No, the handle is not permanently installed. It is entirely flexible to move from one place to another. It is heavy enough to be considered stable if you choose not to move it.

Answer:
The hanging apparatus is actually 2 seperate pieces: The hook is a U shaped wide padded piece of metal that fits over the top of the door. It has a channel in which the second piece, a tubular rectangle piece, fits into. there is also a lip on the back of the mirror to hang from the rectangular piece, making it all fit together. Hope this helps!

Answer:
No, the mirror has a strong hook on the back. Use the center piece (the rectangle) between the mirror hook and the door hook. 3 separate pieces. I'm petite and I did it all by myself.

Love this mirror and want it hung flat on the dry wall instead of over a door. I would put a heavy (23+lbs.) picture nail and molly bolt into the dry wall and slip the mirror's back metal loop over that nail to hold the mirror securely. Then I will tie a wide. graceful bow of ribbon over those mechanics at the top. I do not want to use mirror clips around the veveled edges. Would my plan work?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Grandin Road. While we cannot recommend hanging the mirror in any manner other than it was originally intended (over the door use), we do suggest checking with a local home improvement store for their recommendations in hanging the mirror.

This mirror is heavy, Heavy, HEAVY. If you can't find a stud, I would be scared to trust hanging it on a wall no matter what the rating on the picture hanger.
