Shooting Star Cluster Light Display 4 5 47 48
I had high hopes! I was excited about the star cluster - only to find all the plugs/cords are at the TOP about 6" from the larger star! There is no way to conceal them so you will have a large cluster of plugs at the top of this display regardless where it is displayed. I returned it as I find the cluster of plugs takes away from the beauty of the display. January 24, 2013
Shooting star cluster light display Loved my lights and can't wait to put them out next Christmas. January 16, 2013
Christmas starlight display! ;( I bought the single stars last year for my business' holiday decorations! They were great and they are still goings strong! This year I bought the the clusters for my home and I was very disappointed with the lights that went out and never came back on! I will be returning them as soon as the person who put them up can come and take them down. They were magnificent to look at as long as they worked! January 10, 2013
Gorgeous Light Display I purchased both sets (5-star & 2-star) and many residents in this high-end neighborhood of custom homes commented on how fabulous & unique the stars were. These stars appear to be well constructed and produce a fabulous light display. Unfortunately, after approx. 3 weeks the 5-star unit had problems. Half of the lights on the large star went out and then half of one strand went out. We did not attempt to research/repair yet because we began traveling for the holidays. To the folks at Grandinroad.....What can you tell us about this problem that has apparantly affected other consumers as well?? January 6, 2013
Great quality and value I love it. The quality is excellent, and it looks so beautiful in my trees. The only problem I had was that it did not come with any directions on how to hang it so I had to figure out a way on my own. January 4, 2013
stars I love the star cluster and they way the cluster looked on my tree. The problem I had was with the largest star. When I first opened it, two of the bulbs were not working, and it was time consuming trying to find them. Then the same cluster of lights on the largest star went out again while on my tree. I did not try to fix it. January 2, 2013
beautiful collection we bought both sets of star clusters and hung them on a tree behind the house fanning the light strands out and up. It was truly beautiful and very bright. January 2, 2013
Great holiday display The stars provide a display totally appropriate to the season, and unique from the displays I see at most homes. Looks great. Had to request a replacement when one of the 5 stars in the original shipment would not light up. Makes me a bit concerned about long term durability, but looks so nice, I'll take that chance. Answer:
The 5 stars each have plugs that plug into each other together, resulting in one cord that is only about 12-15" long from the lowest star. That didn't pose a problem to me, but I did need an outdoor extension cord.

Answer:
The largest star is approximately 23" point to point, next is approximately 18", and the other drop in size as well.
You have about 12" in the line between each star...I found them easier to hang and absolutely beautiful hanging without trying to place them.
I hope this helps.

Answer:
The stars range in size from about 10" to 18". The cords of all 5 stars plug into each other. There is some but limited latitude in arranging them. The cords give you about 12-15" lead to alter placement. I have mine mounted on a 2nd story deck railing, with the star tails extending on the diagonal and secured to a deck post below.

Thank you for your patience while we contacted the vendor to obtain an answer to your question regarding this item. We were able to confirm that this display does not feature loops or hooks on the ends to secure the tails. They can be secured by wrapping them around or securing them to a stake. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We tie twine to the ends of each tail so we can adjust each independently to get the drape we like and then attach the twine ends together to a big clasp hook and use that to attach to a tree limb.

Tails are individual. I connected them to adjoining trees with a small nail. The cord is 2 ply...so you don't have nails going thru the wire.

Answer:
the tails are connected to the ends of the stars. I used sticks to push through the final loop to secure them in the ground and used twine to connect other strands to nearby trees. it's very easy to figure out and looks just like their advertised photo. You need a tallish ladder to get the stars high up on the tree.
