Grandin Road is pleased to introduce our Outdoor Fabric by the Yard in a variety of vibrant colors and patterns. Crafted from all-weather acrylic, it effortlessly resists the effects of moisture, soil, and stains and retains its rich hues for seasons to come. Although it’s durable enough to thrive in the great outdoors, we think you’ll also find plenty of uses for this versatile fabric in most every room of your home:

The more patterns that need to be matched, the more material is needed. Follow the basic guidelines below to determine how much to add. (Note: These yardages are provided as estimates only.)
| Length of Repeat | Extra Fabric Required |
| 4-12" | +10% |
| 13-19" | +15% |
| 20-27" | +20% |
| 28-36" | +50% |
| 36"+ | +100% |
When a continuous pattern is woven or printed from left to right, the fabric can be "railroaded". This means that the fabric runs across the furniture horizontally, eliminating vertical seams and creating a more professional, tailored look. Railroading often requires a smaller amount of material.
Fabrics that can only be used vertically are used "off the roll". This orientation can also be used for draperies, but it consumes more fabric when used for upholstery. For off-the-roll fabrics, total yardage is generally increased by 30%.
