Animated Haunted Movie Projector is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Totally Unique! (But too loud!) This item is GREAT! It's sound activated so guests were instructed to yell "Play" at the projector to make it play. That was pretty cool! It looked great as the movie was the centerpiece of our appetizer section of our last Halloween Ball. The theme was old carnival for the app table and the projector fit perfectly. It is VERY loud. It IS possible to open up the unit by unscrewing all the screws and popping it open. However, I did like the music so I just covered the speaker area with tape to tone it down. But, you CAN open it and cut the speaker. I took off a star because there is no volume control. The image is very clear and has that total vintage look. Also, the projector operation is mechanically a little noisy but that's ok...it's a projector so that didn't bother me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reels actually move! Sure glad I bought this cute Halloween decoration when I did because I noticed recently it is sold out. I saw one in a local retail store but it just had some skeleton heads bobbing around. This skeleton actually dances. My grandkids love it and laugh when they turn it on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome but the music stinks I bought this hoping that what the other reviewer said about clipping the speaker wires would be an easy fix to the music problem that seems to be haunting every buyer. I wanted to use this at my party but do not want conflicting music playing against my own. There is absolutely no way to open this up and clip anything. I don't know what projector that other reviewer purchased but it sure wasn't this one! This stinks!! Btw, putting glue, tape, cardboard over the speaker holes barely does anything either. I've done all three and I've barely succeeded in muffling the sound much at all. I'm disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Arrived broken. When I picked up the sealed box it rattled and I knew I was going to be disappointed. Sure enough, the lense inside was stuck into the side of the projector. I would've tried to save it, but it's a plastic projector and there's no way to get inside without damaging it. I don't even know where the broken piece came from. The music sounds cool, the reels spin, and that's all I was able to experience. And now it's sold out so I can't get a working one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A novel prop I like the kitchy oddness of this prop. as others have stated, it is quite loud and i did need to dampen it by taping thin cardboard over the speaker. My other issue was mine doesn't turn off- you have to remove the batteries to get it to stop (and it is always my luck that i seem to get the last one of malfuntioning Halloween props and can never exchange. RIP Zombie Dog.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase!! This projector is fantastic!! It was a great surprise to me when I turned it on to see the reels actually spin! (I missed reading that part in the description :)) The dancing skeli image on the wall is very clear to see from 10 feet away! Only drawback is the music is very loud and if you plan on using it inside your home, you cannot adjust the volume but as another reviewer said, you can put a piece of clear tape over the speaker area to muffle the sound a bit. Great prop for a Halloween party!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liked it alot until I saw it elsewhere Liked this item very much and was excited to show it off this season, along with all of the other unique items I buy from Grandin. That being said, I was unhappy to say the least finding out they have the same item at my local discount store Not Cool
