Don't miss this one.
I have purchased many Halloween products from Grandin Road. This is everything I thought it would be and then some. It's on my office console with the typewriter from Grandin and some skeleton rats.

I just looked again at the video they have posted on Grandin Road for this item and wanted to note a couple of differences between it and the one I got. First, the finger stop on mine is in the proper place and does not cover the "1" hole at rest. Also, the silver finger stop looks a lot better than the curved, whitish one in the pics and video although I'd have liked it to replicate the common design seen on rotary phones. Finally, the dial on mine smoothly goes just past the "4" hole three times when activated. In the video, it barely gets to the "1" hole, has jerky movement back and forth, and looks bad. Mine functions and looks much better than the item they show which is either defective or low on batteries or both.

Unique, quality item
This phone is solidly built and has some weight to it. The design is unusual and attractive. The gold color really sets off the skeleton. It works well in gothic décor but would be at home in any spooky tabletop display. The handset has magnets imbedded in it to keep it securely in the cradle. The finger stop is metal and looks better than in the photo, although it could be designed better. The motion sensor works great and the volume of the rings is good. You can't go wrong with this phone, especially if it's on sale.

I was a little hesitant about buying this item. Then, after it went on sale, I finally bought it. And I am glad I did. It is very heavy and solid. Quite unique. Even if you do not want to turn it on, it still makes a statement.
