That’s what I wanted, as it will soften and sag over time. I also saw reviews that the chair seemed small. It really isn't any different than other armchairs of mine. The smaller impression seems to come from the back being shorter than other armchairs. Otherwise, the dimensions are about the same. I like the shorter back, and feel that it gives the chair a more casual look, especially with the lighter wood legs. It was well packaged, took mere minutes to unpack and assemble, and seems to be high quality.
