Great Bats
I LOVE these bats! I agree that the bulb situation isn't great, but we have lighting that illuminates the bats so I don't even typically turn their bulbs on. Ordering as they become available to decorate our front porch with several bats!

The quality is very good; sturdy and very detailed However, the light is a harsh white and not a glowing yellow/orange. (I am going to self tint the bulb) Also, you cannot change the bulb when it (eventually) goes! and the battery case is held on with two very tiny Phillips Screws, which if you only use for a few weeks around Halloween, not all year like me, should not be a problem. Overall, nice, but too pricey due to the fixed bulb issue.

Lamp much brighter than photo
I purchased all 3 bats. The upside down bat is a shiny black compared to the other two that are more matte black. I’m also a bit disappointed that the lamp is a bright white light instead of a more warm orange glow as pictures in the stock photos. Really not sure if they’re worth the money I spent but….I waited 2 months to get them so, I’ll deal.

Bat Lantern
I was thrilled to finally receive my bat lantern after many delays. The bat itself is well made, and quite heavier than I though it would be. But I was disappointed when I went to unscrew the screws to put in the batteries. The screws were rusted and would not unscrew. After further inspection, I found rust on the metal cage surrounding the light bulb and even some
rust on the chain. I am returning the item and will try again next year to order another one next year!

Don't waste your money!
I purchased all 3 bats this year....yesterday we hung them from our front yard tree. The "power on" switch design on each of them is unacceptable, the switch doesn't make contact properly. Of our 3 bats: one has a switch that doesn't work at all and is constantly "on" once we added the batteries, the second won't stay on more than 10-15 min and the third will come on with the switch but the timer doesn't work. Very dissapointed, definitely not quality you should receive from Grandinroad.

I SO wanted to love this!
After eyeing up the bat lanterns for two years and finally buying one this year, I really wanted to love this product. When it arrived, it had a white film inside of the light bulb. I thought it was a mistake so I exchanged it for a new one. Same issue. Maybe I’m missing something? I also found the light to be a very bright/not warm and “spooky” like the photos suggest.

Hanging chain broke immediately
Looked awesome hanging from a secure nail on porch until one side of the chain link that the heavy bat hangs from broke right off. The whole bat fell and shattered. Didn’t even have it for one day. So I would say make sure to either reinforce the hanging chain, or just make sure all the links on the thin chain are made correctly before hanging.

As one reviewer stated, the bulbs are White contrary to stock photos. Does the cover possibly pop off to change the bulb to match the stock photos?
