Very pretty and works great!
This is a very pretty and extremely helpful lamp. Because it's battery operated, you can have light wherever you need it. Simple to install and sensor works good on both of the ones we installed. I have a somewhat uneven flagstone path and was always tripping so this has helped a lot. The only reason I gave this 4 star rating is because the light doesn't stay on very long. This does not stay continually on from dusk to dawn. It only comes on dusk to dawn when someone activates the sensor. The box said gold but I call it copper :)

Good looking and helpful
Sorry to read the other review where the light doesn't work. We installed it a couple months ago on a fence post near some steps and it's a lifesaver--literally. Worked immediately. Visitors have complimented us on it; it looks great. So far it is still working fine. If I had a place to install a second one, I would buy one.

motion sensor didn't work
Installed it and it looks great, but doesn't work. According to the mfg. the light should sense motion within 23 feet, but no amount of movement made the light come on. Only when my husband put his hand completely over the sensor did it light up. Will have to return it.

Can these sconces be turned on and off with a switch or are they only motion activated?
This is strictly motion. No off on switch.
