Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely garden accent Just received Birds in Flight Garden Art and was a little disappointed with the craftsmanship. Several welds broke and the birds could have been put together a little better. It is a lovely and graceful piece and would look good inside or out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful... So glad I decided on this piece...great addition to the backyard landscape! Well made...set in concrete in event of strong wind. Pins did not seem secure enough for our ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birds in Flight This is a beautiful piece and really compliments my patio. Last year I bought the girl with butterfly and girl with leaf and they all look great together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than picture The birds in flight garden art arrived this afternoon and it is FABULOUS. It is actually better than it looks online -- difficult to explain, but it does. The packaging was flawless and protected the art in the extreme. It comes in two pieces -- the base is one piece and the birds the other. The two pieces fit together easily and a screw & wing-nut secure it. Actually two more small pieces were included -- the two long metal anchors that push through the holes at either end and into the ground if it's used outside. I could easily see this piece being inside as well (minus the last two parts). I clicked "durability" under the pros, but can't be sure until it's been outside a while. It certainly looks like it will be durable.

Would this piece be acceptable in a less formal yard?  Do you know if it will rust from the rain or sprinklers and in temperatures up to 106?

Asked by: Condo kitty
Thank you for your interest in the Birds in Flight Garden Art. This item will accent most yards. It is designed to be rust resistant and can be used in an uncovered are where it will be exposed to the elements.

I live in Nebraska; can Birds in Flight be left out in the winter?

Asked by: Janeeb
Thank you for your interest in the Birds in Flight Garden Art. We wouldn't recommend leaving this item out in the snow as it could rust being that it is made of metal.

Material and wear

What type of metal is this? Is it painted? Will it rust being outside in rain and sprinkles? Will it hold up (not fade) under the very strong south Florida sun?
Asked by: Danielle
I would guess the metal is steel. It is painted so it is hard to tell. Painted with a kind of antiqued silver color. It looks real good. I would guess it will rust in time. I always spray a clear coat on metal objects to prolong them and place them on something so they don't sit directly on the dirt. I am sure you get more rain in Florida than here in Arizona though. It looks like it will stand up to the desert sun 355+ days a year so should fare well in FL sun. The paint is well done. Have no idea about fading, but it would probably give it character if it does.
