No, it was soft and pliable. The scallops are large and flattened out when rolled out. I absolutely love this new rug. I am glad that “took the chance”. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend this product and Grandin Road, in general!

This rug is absolutely adorable and totally transformed the entry way I put it in. Soooo many compliments but the most common is "Where did you ever find that darling rug?" This rug added so much charm to my room that I find myself walking back into the room over and over to look at it. This rug totally exceeded my expectations and the charm factor is second to none. If you're considering it, you won't regret it - and will probably even order more in different sizes.
