Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not What I Was Hoping The large and small planter arrived fine. The middle one did not. The finish was damaged and scratched

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Bought these in the copper color for in front of our porch columns! They are not only stunning in color but so very well made. The stainless steel is durable and makes any color pop that is planted in them. Just wish the small plant insert had drainage holes in it but nothing we couldn't do ourselves. Filled the bottom 1/3 with some small river stones for weight at the bottom and they are both going to move! Beautiful!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice touch! I bought the copper color planters and put ferns in them. They look really elegant at the front entrance of our home. I can't speak to their durability yet since I've only had them a short time, but so far they are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looked all over for something like this, looks great, is weather resistant and priced right. Our last one fell apart after only 1 winter, however be aware that the this planter comes in 2 pieces, the main body and an insert-perfect. The main planter has a hole in the bottom to allow for drainage-important, BUT the insert does not!?!?!? So we had to drill several holes to allow the insert holding our plants to actually drain. In addition we ordered 3 planters and one of the three showed up with the wrong finish and had to return. Been quite the adventure. All straightened out now, but has taken awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality item Bought 2 for front entrance and could not be happier! The planter has an insert for soil & plants which does not dry out quickly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and elegant I purchased two of the large copper planters and I am so happy I did. I have received so many compliments on them. I will be ordering two of the medium planters to accent my garages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Time I Ordered More These copper finished planters are my favorites for our deck, and now our front stoop. I did take the insert out, drilled holes in it, and used it separately because I don't want the tall planters to be top heavy by planting directly in them - though one can also weight the bottoms with some rocks. I drilled 5 holes in the bottom of the column planter and used a combination of planting mix and empty planters to within 6 inches of the top. I then plopped a large preplanted coco fiber hanging basket on top. This brought the plants to just above the railings, and the trailing plants quickly softened the edges of the planter. I have every size of these planters. I was afraid that metal would cook the plant roots in the sun, but all my plants are flourishing in these pots in hot Atlanta.

Where does the insert go?  Inside or outside?  It doesn't have any drain holes.  So not sure what this is for.

Asked by: jomack
Thank you for your interest in the Column Planter with Insert. The insert goes inside of the planter and is used to support a potted plant. It can be removed so the planter can be completely filled with soil.
