Column Planter is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful planter I bought this last month and I am so happy with my purchase. It looks great on my front porch and we put Christmas greenery with lights in it for the holiday. The copper shines in the sunlight and the color is beautiful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a beautiful planter-like a piece of art! This looks absolutely beautiful on my from porch and brings out the copper colors of my stonework. I intend to bring it indoors for the Christmas holidays and put a poinsettia in it. I recommend this planter. It is lovely without a plant also!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bronze beauties I chose the 33" Bronze column planter and love it! The only problem, as I had read in previous reviews, is the fact that there are no drainage holes in the inserts. I thought for sure with all of the people who had written reviews on this that the company would take note of it and fix the problem. One of my planters also did not have a drain hole in the main column. With a little help of a drill bit, holes were created but be careful of the sharp edges metal creates when you are done!! As a whole it is perfect and is quite the eye catcher being displayed on our front porch!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Planters I love the look of these planters on my patio. I bought the two together and what a statement they make. Everyone who sees them loves them. We put sand bags in them to hold them down they are not very heavy. They have seen some rain and it appears that a little rust has set in the inside but nothing major and its hidden with the plants I put in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful porch These planters are really nice looking on my front porch. We put a 10 inch planter in each one and by summer they should really look great. I purchased the smaller ones because I have an alcove style porch, 10 foot wide an deep the size fits great, you'll want to put some weight in the bottom to add a counter balance to them. Very pleased with Grandinroaad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Planter But the lack of a drainage hole in the top planter is a real pain. Thought I could drill it but even with a special bit my drill does not have enough power. One arrived with a small dent and a price adjustment was made. Weighted them down with sand bags. As others have said, not as bright as in the picture but still dramatic. Looking forward to planting.

Will this planter rust? Does it patina over time? Can a hanging basket fit well in these planters?

Asked by: Anonymous
I tried to write another review that would have answered this question, but apparently I can only write one review even though I have purchase THREE of these WONDERFUL planters. My very first planter was in a location that got exposed to snow, ice, rain, and hot hot sun. It stayed beautiful for several years. Eventually it looked like it had seen better days, so I spray painted it a copper color and it was lovely for another year, but I put it in a different location. Unfortunately the second year with this spray painted planter, it left a little rust on my cement porch flooring. That's when I purchased my third planter. I LOVE these planters!!! My daughter is still enjoying the one I purchased for her as well. NO RUST! It does patina a little over time, but this planter is lovely in any color it changes to! I have made many things fit in this planter, but I truly especially love the urn fillers that I have purchased from grandinroad. Every season brings a multitude of compliments!

How do you clean these planters?

I have 5 of these planters. One is about 5 years old and has lost some shine being out in the Arizona sun. Any idea what to use for cleaning and polishing it back to life?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your interest in the Column Planter. We recommend cleaning this item with water and a mild soap. There are also cleaners specifically for stainless steel appliances, that you can buy at the your local store, that will help the shine of this item.

Can a deeper liner be used with the 42" planter? Is the planter top heavy when planted?

Asked by: Anonymous
as far as the insert, as long as there is a lip at the top of the liner you should be fine. As for being top heavy when planted...yes. I put a few bricks in the bottom of my planters for stability - plus I get a lot of wind and would hate for them to topple.

Are the fillers that are pictured with these planters available for purchase?

In the picture, there are plants in the planters. Are these artificial? If so, do you sell them? What size are they?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your interest in the Column Planter. We do carry faux outdoor greenery and urn fillers; however, the two urn fillers shown with this planter are not currently available. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What do you recommend filling the bottom portion of these with? Material must be heavy enough to prevent them from blowing over but not dent metal

I love these, but they will be on my driveway where it gets very windy and I'm concerned they will blow right over. Need advice on what to fill them with that will not dent metal but still be plenty heavy to ensure they stay put . Sand maybe?
Asked by: EM
Sand bags would work and also concrete pieces large enough to fit in. Maybe some bricks you have around, too!

How big is the hole in the bottom?

I would like to use this tall planter to hide a utility pole in my front yard. Is there an opening in the bottom and if so, how large? Is it square or circle?
Asked by: Morgan
There is a round circle about the size of a fifty cent coin.
