great look, fit my adjustable base (Whew!)
My daughter and I put this together this afternoon. To all who asked if this will fit an adjustable base, I would say measure carefully. My adjustable queen base fit with an inch margin all around (my Q base measures 58" w x 78" long). To accomadate, we simply did not put in center beam, beam support legs and boxspring slats. The bed is sturdy and the side rails did not assemble as easily as I had hoped with the metal hinge claw so many others do. instead the rails have a keyhole tounge and groove slat insert with support bolts but makes it more sturdy overall, Get some soap and 'wax' these so they slide in easier. We have a deep queen mattress (about 18") so flipped the rails to keep the lowest profile with adjustable base with 4" legs. It looks stunning and glad I rolled the dice on this one. i just cant figure out why the heck GR never answered others inquiries on this matter...for so long. Silly.

Sturdy and beautiful!
The pics aren’t that great but the color of the wood is just like advertised. It is super heavy/sturdy bed. Although it is time consuming to put together it was not hard. Takes 2 people about 2 hours but we are not very handy either! Also I went with a 5 inch box spring and regular 12-13 inch mattress. The 8 inch box spring made the mattress sit up too high in my opinion… The mattress did not sit down into the frame. My particular mattress barely fit width wise in this frame so it is going to be challenging to make the bed when you change the sheets. I got a queen bed.

Disappointing.
The bed is beautiful, as long as you don't touch the posts.I don't know if we received a damaged one or what, but my message to customer service went unanswered. The posts do not screw solidly into the bed, making the whole canopy frame lean to one side. We're going to have to reinforce it somehow. With the cost of the bed and the shipping, I expected far better quality. I'm very disappointed in this bed.

assembly problems
Initial shipment was missing assembly hardware. We called the company and they were very prompt in shipping assembly hardware. Unfortunately the hardware was not capable of fastening step 1 of the assembly process. We again called and advised them of the new situation. They were surprised and could not understand why we were having a problem. They promised to contact the manufacturer and see if they could explain our dilemma and remedy it. If they are successful in helping us with a properly assembled product then we would recommend it.

Can the bed be assembled with the four posts but without the tester around the top?
What are the interior dimensions of the king sized bed? We have a sleep number adjustable bed that has to sit on a base and we would like to know if the base will fit on the inside of the bed frame above the slats.
