Rated 5 out of 5 by nataliet17 from Perfectly subtle but still spooky item Love this. Fits so well in with my usual decor (maximalist academic) that I'm keeping it up. It is amazingly detailed, motion sensor is super sensitive, and makes quite the statement. My only criticism is that it is a bit loud. Shipped securely and on time.

Its gorgeous! The fact that it has a skull on top just kind of fits in with our quirkiness. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hauntann from Love this globe but it is on the small side Bought this last year when it was on sale after looking at it over and over again. It is a little on the small side but it is a great prop to startle people with because it looks so ordinary when it is not animated. People do not expect it to start spinning. The flickering light effect is also a nice spooky touch. I expected something bigger but I got it for a really great price on sale so I will not complain. I am happy to have it in my collection but subtracted a star because the (regular) price is so high.

I start stalking the Halloween decor in summer prepping for my favorite holiday of the year. I do Halloween Big Time at my house. I was really excited to add this to my collection until I received it and see some improvements that need to be made for this to be a hit. First of all the Pros are, it looks like it's vintage and has the appearance it's a real globe. The maps are clearly marked. It's lightweight (plastic). It's about the size of a regular globe maybe a little smaller. It Runs on batteries so you can place it anywhere. The packaging is great. It arrives in a sturdy cardboard box. and it's nested in a styrofoam carton. Very well packaged. The cons are, I paid full price, which to me was more expensive than I thought the item was really worth. I found the sound to be the most annoying and disappointed part of the globe. It's a really annoying and loud wind sound that is continuous. It does not sound the least bit realistic. I ended up taking the batteries out so that it wouldn't continuously play every time the sensor is activated. (think wind at the McDonalds drive through speaker) aFor this to be improved, there "wind" sound needs to be adjusted. It's too loud, too intense and there is no volume control . Wind isn't a continuous sounds, it has variation. So perhaps more variation in sound and volume control. Otherwise it just becomes one of those annoying decorations you take the batteries out of because you get tired of the sound. Would I recommend this item? If it were cheaper yes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Halloween is life from Globe Disappointed in this especially for it being from this company. Don't pay full price for it. So lightweight and is poorly made. The sound quality is not very good. The only thing that is okay is the globe itself looks nice.
