I live in Phoenix, do they hold up outdoors, can they also withstand the rain?(Yes, we do get rain !).

Thank you for your interest in the Artisan Teak Stools. These stools are made of solid teak-wood and can withstand outdoor conditions including rain. We do recommend regular cleaning. These stools will patina to a silvery grey color; if you want to keep the original color you will need to apply teak oil / protectant.

Can these stools be painted

These are lovely, but would go with my outdoor decor much better if I could paint them a coordinating color. Can they be spray painted with something like one of the Rustoleum paints? Would it adhere OK? Wasn't sure if one could paint teak - I've never seen ti done.
