Hi. Right now I have 4 railroad ties as edging and would like these instead. I believe the ties are 8 ft each so 32 feet all told . Would one set of this suffice?
I would say NO! Because it’s only 120 inches long...it’s not Feet! So each set is only 10 feet total...The 120 is very deceptive. You would need 3+ sets to make your 32 feet.

Can they be used individually vs. as edging? I want to scatter them within a flower bed.
Actually you are quite wrong. They can be used individually. I ordered them and they are individual stones of varying shapes and sizes each with their own stake. Please refrain from answering questions if you have no knowledge of the product your company sells. Check my review and you can see for yourself in the photo.

Amazed at this Product!
I relocated from the West Coast to the mid plains and left a bunch of river rock at my former residence. Anytime I dug into the ground, I would hit river rock which supplied my landscaping efforts. Here, in a small rural town in the mid west, it's obsolete unless you want to pay a pretty penny to have it delivered. When I saw this product, it totally amazed me and I knew it was my solution to missing river rock in my yard. I purchased two orders of the gray stone. As several reviewers have posted, you will probably need more than you think. They are easy to place and have a natural stone look. Staking them is genius. Two con's are, they smell very toxic coming out of the box and they are fragile since hollow. I had to tell my lawn folks to stay clear of them with both the mower and weed eater. Glad I did because they thought they were real boulders which could handle anything.

Lovely dark gray stones
The stones are as pictured and look very realistic. The were wrapped well and look like they'll last a long time. I like that they have a spike to keep them in place. They are a nice dark gray, almost black color, which is exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely buy more.

Great Rocks
I bought two boxes last year and just got around to putting them in along the back fence. The are very easy to install even in Denvers rock hard soil. They look like real stone and I like the variety of sizes. When the color other than grey is back in stock I will buy six more boxes to finish the job.
