Rated 2 out of 5 by from dog gate I was disappointed in this product. I had to take furniture marker pens to cover up exposed raw wood. It is not as sturdy as my other gates. The hinges even make noises when it is opened up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pet Gate This is really a great gate--exactly as described. It is such a great size to extend across a wide doorway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive & Sturdy The pet gate arrived in good order in fine condition. we use the gate on our front porch to keep our three dogs from running at everyone & everything that moves past the yard. This sturdy gate stands up well keeping our dogs where they belong. It's also very attractive in the white. Quite a few neighbors and passers by have commented on how the gate compliments the exterior of our home. We're very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and Pretty Was looking for a way to keep our pet on our front porch and regular gates were too small. This was a great option as he can still watch what is happening, but feels safe. The gate is a bit bulky and not easy to store, but it meets our needs and we love it! It's very well constructed and looks very nice !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pet gate Excellent! This is a good-looking, solid and well made gate that can be used indoors or outdoors. It folds flat so it's easy to carry. We use it to stop our puppy from getting out of the porch while we sit and read, and we bring it inside if we need to keep her in a particular area. A very good purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Poor Quality Our gate came with all the edges worn and very poor quality paint job. To be honest it looks like something made in a kids shop class - and the kid didn't get a very good grade. Lots of areas with paint missing or non-sanded surfaces underneath. Very rough. Not the quality I expect from Grandinroad and especially for the price. We will be returning this first thing tomorrow.

Can you disconnect one panel?

question? If say, I need only 4 panels out of my 5 panel order, can I take one panel off easily without it looking tacky?
Asked by: Mwells
Thank you for your interest in the 36"H Freestanding Wooden Pet Gate. Yes you can remove the panel by taking off the hinge.

Does this gate have "feet" to go with it to make it even more stable? (Childproofing and want more security to keep from toppling over.) Thank you.

Asked by: Anonymous
No. We added felt pads where the pieces meet to make it easier to scoot around our wood floors. Our gate is the 5 piece and it would be hard to knock over unless you had it completely folded up and left it standing in place.

Is the width of this gate 72 inches when stretched out straight or when positioned zig-zaggedly, sturdily in a doorway?
Asked by: Christina
Thank you for your interest in the 20"H Freestanding Wooden Pet Gate. This gate is 72-3/4"W overall when stretched our straight; it will cover approximately a 36"W opening and still be stable.

What is the maximum width the 5 panel gate can cover as a freestanding gate?

Trying to cover a 9.5 ft doorway
Asked by: LAMA
flat out it will cover the 9feet but it needs to have some bends in it to be stable. I have mine wedged covering a 7' opening and I have a lot of gate but it is also considerably more stable because it is not stretched out flat.

Can 5-panel gate be separated into 2 gates?

I am wondering if you can separate the 5-panel gate into 2 gates - a 3-panel and 2-panel. I think this would work better for our needs. Thank you for your help.
Asked by: lamt17
no it is all one piece. I suppose you could take it apart yourself but I'm not sure it would work as well if you did. Maybe consider 2 of the 3 panel gates.

Free standing three panel dog wood gate.

I have a 71 inch opening and am wondering if the three panel gate will be big enough or will I need the five panel gate?
Asked by: Anonymous
I would get the 5 panel for a 71" opening the 3 panel only really does about 5'9" solidly.

How large an opening does the 3 panel gate cover and remain stable?

Asked by: Anonymous
solidly about 5'9". It is tall so the dogs don't really try it but if a dog wanted to jump on it and it was a big dog, it could be knocked over. I have 6 border collies from age 5months to 9 years, very active and very smart and no one bothers it. Even when we accidentally trapped the cat in the corner, we didn't knock it over.

I have a 60' opening can i use the 3 panel?

My yorkie is very energetic, can he push it so he can squeeze areound the side or even jump on it and knock it over? And can a 3# puppies get thru the slats?
Asked by: bailey2
the three foot gate blocks a solid 5'(" opening, I got the larger to block a 7" opening and I have lots of gate so I could block a larger opening.
