36"H Freestanding Wooden Pet Gate is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 378.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Effective Bought this gate to keep my pups out of one of our rooms in the house. Gate nicely made but not effective. Our 12 pound dog can easily push the panel to the side and enter the room. This gate didn’t do anything more than the shorter less expensive gate that I purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this gate! We have to take our 3 small (wild!) dogs out thru the garage to get to the fenced back yard and we were always concerned about someone opening the garage door just as the pups were let into the garage so I ordered this gate to keep them confined and it has been the absolutely perfect solution! It also keeps them from wondering around the garage and getting into something they shouldn’t. I’ve been considering getting another one to use inside.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wow.... what a mess This gate is awful, a little to flimsy, the wood is scraped, nails have split the wood, the slats at the top/bottom have no color... just poorly made. Definitely it worth the money, very disappointed back it goes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little fold-away gate Look good and fold up out of the way when not in use - our little Schnauzer went blind because of diabetes and could no longer roam the house as much as he used to - these are just right to move around where needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I recently purchased this and it is exactly what I was looking for. Superior quality. What’s really nice is you do not have to make any holes in your walls to use! Beautiful finish too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality I purchased 5 of these gates after trying less expensive gates elsewhere, absolutely no comparison these gates are great quality, easy to maintain , look like its part of the room!!! I highly recommend these gates!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from dog gate I was disappointed in this product. I had to take furniture marker pens to cover up exposed raw wood. It is not as sturdy as my other gates. The hinges even make noises when it is opened up.

Are the width dimensions  with the gate fully extended i.e. flat . Will the gate support itself fully extended flat?

Asked by: barely
Thank you for your interest in the Freestanding Wooden Pet Gate. The dimensions listed are of this gate fully extended; however, it will not support itself when fully extended. The three panel gate is 72-3/4"W overall when stretched our straight; it will cover approximately a 36"W opening and still be stable.

Does this gate have "feet" to go with it to make it even more stable? (Childproofing and want more security to keep from toppling over.) Thank you.

Asked by: Anonymous
No. We added felt pads where the pieces meet to make it easier to scoot around our wood floors. Our gate is the 5 piece and it would be hard to knock over unless you had it completely folded up and left it standing in place.

Is the width of this gate 72 inches when stretched out straight or when positioned zig-zaggedly, sturdily in a doorway?

What is the maximum width the 5 panel gate can cover as a freestanding gate?

Trying to cover a 9.5 ft doorway
Asked by: LAMA
flat out it will cover the 9feet but it needs to have some bends in it to be stable. I have mine wedged covering a 7' opening and I have a lot of gate but it is also considerably more stable because it is not stretched out flat.
