I want to use this fire pit on our back patio that has wood planking. Is it safe to use there or do I need some underlying protection to prevent the planking from over heating?

Versatile Fire Pit Lid/Tray
Fire Pit Lid/Tray makes portable fire pit versatile. Since you can turn the lid over to be a tray, it's a great stand alone piece to create a charcuterie board for a big party. The 1st lid/tray I received was dented. Customer service answered my call and gave me clear instructions on how to replace. The process was easy.

Great item
Really glad this product exists. Looks good as a table and protects the fire pit from rainwater. We have ours under an awning but it still gets wet. So far (a month maybe), no rust.

Turns your fire pit into a coffee table and also keeps rain from gather in it. Fits any fire pit that is the appropriate size. We had a fire pit we had purchased somewhere else and it fit. We love it the cover and it makes our fire pit do double duty.

Very Nice Quality
We created a seating area in our front yard with our own round fire pit, and so glad you offered the copper lid separately. Our home is more mid century modern and we would have loved having a spacious front porch, so this seating area is a wonderful alternative. Will add photos later.

Really Nice Accent to Firepit
I really wanted to get a copper firepit. However, after reading reviews and looking at my existing copper bowl on my old firepit, I choose to go with the black. Because pretty much every copper firepit, whether pure copper or copper plate or copper paint is going to discolor and turn black.So instead I bought the copper painted lid. As long as you don't put this lid on until the fire is totally out and cooled down, it should retain the copper finish. One other note, the website states it could be used as a tray. Yes, it could. By Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, but not by mere mortals. It's large and heavy as it is, I can't imagine putting some drinks or whatever on it and carrying it around...!
FYI, I just got it so I have no idea of it's long term durability.

The silver is nice, the sturdy handles are a bonus. It fits my gas fire pit perfectly. We've had it a year now and it has weathered our awful PNW Winter well. I took off one star because it's kind of a dull silver, and the hammered "dents" are painted with some sort of black patina that is coming off. It's not real hammered metal as much as cosmetically tapped on with black patina to sort of mimic the look. That said, I would recommend the cover, but on sale or with a discount offer

Beautiful tray
This is a beautiful fire pit lid. It is heavy and looks great on the fire pit as well as a tray on outdoor table. It is a good buy for the price and has weathered well, no discoloration so far in the 3 months we have used it. Too bad the fire pit it pairs with is so ridiculously expensive.

Product not as advertised
I was very excited to see the hammered black fire pit lid. However upon delivery, I discovered it was not hammered but has a smooth black finish. When I questioned service, I was told they would replace it with the right product. However, the second lid is exactly the same as the first. Evidently the black is not offered as a hammer version. Each time I see it I am reminded of a company that does not live by its promise of satisfaction.
