why do these trees have stakes (implying they need to go in the ground) if they can only be used under cover ???????? most people do not have covered walkways!!

These set of trees say outdoor but do they need to be covered? It shows them in a pathway which I assume is not covered? Can they get wet if it rains or snows? I want them for the side of my front door steps to place in my pots?

The description states "indoor/covered outdoor versatility". Does this mean they can't be used in an outdoor setting in which it's not covered? The pictures seem to show them outside and uncovered so I was hoping for clarification.

Nice accents for outdoor decorations
Easy to assemble and timers work well. Looks good day and night. I wish they had a few more lights but overall very satisfied. If you are looking for bright lights to illuminate an area these are not for you. I was looking for simplicity and style.

Perfect for outdoor Xmas lighting.
These are simply beautiful. The timer/battery operation is perfect for outdoor lights at Christmas. Just set the timer and it's done. I set them up and tried them out for couple days before storing for the holidays. PERFECT ! ! !

Nice quality pathway tree set
Nice quality tree with easy screw on metal prong stake for secure placement in the ground or a large urn. I add extra battery operated string lights for greater show. I’ve purchased 3 sets of these trees over the years and I still use them outside ( in an uncovered area) though covered outdoor use is recommended. The oldest trees I purchased are over 10 years old so I’ve “refreshed” the existing tree ornaments and berries and they look brand new.

Hadley pathway trees
These are gorgeous trees. Last year they sold out very quickly I was so disappointed. So glad they came back this year. I also have a McKinley window swag I use as a table decoration. Both have high quality decorations and realistic greens. I could not be happier with both. Grandin Road never disappoints.

Cute petite trees
I have placed these trees outside. The batteries are a bit tricky to get inside, and I still don't understand the timer. However, when the lights come on, they are bright and make the tiny tree look cheerful. These trees would look better if there were a tall platform upon which to perch, or if the trees themselves were about a foot taller. They are a bit pricey. I'm hoping they will last 10 years at least.

Nice Holiday urn fillers
Bought these actually for the 2 urns at my front door to complement my over the door garland. They are nicely dense- in fact a little hard to “fluff” but they look great and the battery operated lights with timer is easy peasy to operate! Just set them up today so waiting for full dark to go out and see how all the lights look!

Not as bright as I expected
I placed the trees in planters on either side of the front door along with the Hadley 3 wreaths. They look good in the daytime but they are very dim at night. I thought it would be bright and cheerful to have the 2 trees plus 3 wreaths at my entranceway but it's actually quite dark. The trees either need more or brighter lights.
