Halloween Bats with Flashing Eyes, Set of Three is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly assembled Had 2 bats hanging for less than a hour when the filament that attaches to the body came off on both. The same happened to the large one overnight. Weather clear, no rain, slight breeze. Took them down and hoping that hot glue will fix them. Do not recommend them, would not purchase them again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bats w/Flashing Eyes While the product appears to be constructed well, the monofilament line that is attached to the body of the bats breaks easily once hung. The lines that are attached to the tips of the wings seems to hold fine. I've tried using Super glue and hot glue to re-attach the line but it keeps coming off. Product needs to be re-engineered to come up with a better means of securing the line to the body of the bat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to love them but... I bought these bats a couple of years ago and wanted to love them. First, they require button batteries which do not last and are hard to find. Second, I cannot find a good place or way to hang them. I try to use them every year but get frustrated. Just an FYI, my husband purchased several AA battery replacement boxes to switch out the button battery props and this works better for us. We have not replaced the bat battery boxes because I still can’t find a way to use them that I am happy with. The bats do look nice though and are a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bats! The eyes are very bright and the wings are made well. Great with a breeze!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Halloween bats I purchased these last year and hung on the ceiling of our food tent during our Hallow's Eve party. They were super cute but with the slightest wind (we live in AZ) the clear fishing line that you hang them from ripped from their bodies. I had to safety pin them and they hung slanted. My least favorite Halloween purchase from Grandin Road last year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Posable These bats are substantial. I bought them last year for my haunt. I posed one of them hanging upside down with the wings closed and the other two flying in various positions. The glowing eyes are wonderfully creepy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Ok But Good Value I've had these bats for a few years now and they look really cool in terms of size and quality but the red eyes are a pain. If you hang them, as they should be used, you have to flip the switch on/off every time. Without the red eyes, they don't stand out much. For us, that means a ladder every night. Hanging them lower might be an option but you wouldn't normally see bats 4' off the ground. I guess I'm too much of a realist. Wish they had a timer switch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flying bats Bought these a few years ago. They were excellent. Gave them away. Now, I wanted them again. They aren't as good as my first purchase. Still an ok bat, but, the quality was better before.

Are these bats suitable for outdoor?

I used them outdoors but the fish line that you hang them from broke with the slightest wind.

Are these weather resistant? We live in Seattle, which has a lot of rain.

Asked by: Anonymous
They should stand up to being rained on. Maybe a small piece of tape on the battery door which is on the top of the body.
