Big hit on Halloween These guys were a gift from my mom and sister for my Western-themed Halloween display. Easy to assemble, they fit in perfectly with my saloon scene. I ran into trouble with them dying on me a few days before Halloween, too late to exchange them even if Grandinroad had more to send me (they were out of them). Called customer service and they were very understanding when I asked if they would still take them back if I tried to fix them and failed. No problem. One of the servos in the head of one of the players had gotten stuck and I was able to free it. Got me through Halloween night before it happened again and the exchange was hassle-free. Couple of notes - keep them away from small children who will try to "help" them play the banjo. Let the song play all the way through and the heads return to the "home" position before turning off the power and they are less likely to get stuck. If the same song over and over drives you nuts, turn the volume down and play banjo music through some nearby speakers - visitors were amazed at how many songs the guys knew, so they look pretty convincing. Just OK The players performed admirably for a short time. Then the head movement on the skeleton with the smaller cap stopped working. So, that's OK. I set them up outside on Halloween. The temperature dropped to about 60 deg and they quit working altogether. Brought them back inside and they started working --- less the head movement, above. The electronics is quite temperature sensitive. Not mentioned in their instructions. Don't use them outdoors when it's chilly! November 12, 2014

Playful Piece in scary setup I bought this for the 2014 Halloween season. I kept them inside until Halloween night. They are a people pleaser for sure and very entertaining. They are one of my few "not scary" decorations so I hope their durability is good. So far they have functioned perfectly I look forward to many more seasons with them. November 17, 2014

They were the focus of attention! Our little visitors, and their parents, watched the dueling skeletons with fascination and delight! We had two short folding step stools that we placed the skeletons on so that their feet touched the floor. Looked great! The only two things that would have made them perfect, was if their mouths opened and closed when they talked...and if a volume control could be added. November 13, 2014

Until the Banjos Start To Play I have purchased one of these two years running for two different people. The first person I bought it for, so absolutely loved them. I haven't heard from my gift receiv-ee this Halloween so don't know but had Bone Jet I purchased for her last year on display during the Halloween season last year. Very cute...I have made a suggestion for next Halloween for Rascal Vamps...yep, you guessed it Rascal Flatts singing Life Is A Highway or maybe re-lyric to be Life is a Flyway, I'm gonna Vamp it all night long...and I will think of more....suggested they be dressed to the nines with bat wings that expand and contract with the song...think it would really sell!!!!! mixed feelings I purchased the dueling banjos Halloween 2014. They arrived fairly quickly, seemed fine upon unpacking, but one of the fella's eyes didn't work..... I am thinking about sending them back because they are a bit spendy. They are real cute, but I was disappointed about the eye not working............ November 12, 2014

Great Halloween Fun! Halloween is magic and magic is just fooling the eye into thinking that what you are seeing is real. For the people complaining that the banjos are not real, they don’t have to be, like all props and magic they just have to trick the eye into thinking they are real. I have put my little banjo strummers on hay bales in a dark stage area lit with scary lighting this makes them look bigger and everyone loves them. In fact my grandsons drive me nuts playing them over and over! I have had them for several weeks and they have so far worked perfect. They have been a great addition to add to my Halloween props. Measurements

I am interested in the Dueling Skeltons, but 38 inches is awful small in heght. Is that mesurement shown of them sitting? Do they appear as a small child of 4 or 5 years old, as an adult or just as a table top chotskie? Thanks
