Thank you for your interest in the Knox Teak Stool. This stool is teak and made to be outdoors. If the wood is left unfinished and will acquire a distinctive, silvery-gray hue, as it matures in the elements. If you want the wood to stay the golden color your will want to apply a teak protectant.
