It comes in two pieces, so you need to take them apart and place sandbags in the bottom piece. However the opening to the bottom piece is small, probably 3” in diameter so you need small sand bags. I filled small ziplock bags (the snack bags) with sand, and fit those through the hole- about 8 in each one. That has so far stabilized them and while we have a large covered porch, when the wind is powerful the porch doesn’t protect anything, but these have not moved or been knocked down so I feel it’s well made. It does recover wiping down because as you can imagine with round surfaces they collect a lot of dust. We bought the matching flower
pot for our porch table. I love these so much and haven’t once regretted spending the money on them, and will head back to Grandin Road for future purchases

How is the top part attached to the bottom part ? Would wind knock the top part out ? Also how about rain and freezing conditions ? Would it damage it ?
Will the colors fade in the sun? Will it harm or damage the topiary in the rain?
