Can the wheels be removed? One reviewer said they asked the question and was told "yes", but they insist the wheels CANNOT be removed..... Please advise!

I bought 2 chairs to replace the big sofa in my living room. Best purchase I’ve made. They are easy to move and the indigo blue is perfect to pick up the same color in my Oriental rug. I couldn’t be happier.

Fabulous Chair
I bought this for our master bedroom redo and it’s absolutely beautiful! I bought it in Indigo and it’s the perfect navy blue! Very comfy too! I think now I need to order the ottoman that goes with it!

Well made chair
I bought two matching chairs and they are quite comfortable and seem to be well made. Having worked at a furniture factory, I know what to look for. The only downside is the chairs are bigger than I anticipated.

Caster wheels don’t have a locking mechanism
The chair itself is beautiful to look at. We bought two of them in coco leather. My only majour issue is that the wheels do not lock. You’d think you could just unscrew them from the legs, but nope. They are actually glued AND secured with screws to the wooden legs. We have hard wood floors and it shoots back when you get up because you also sink in a lot when you sit. Had to buy furniture peg covers made specifically for caster wheels.
