Shipments one and three had one leg broken along with wood above the leg. Shipment two had molding between legs broken off along with split wood above the molding. Grandin Road has been good about replacements but, as I await fourth shipment, we are losing confidence in durability and/or shipping company being used

I wanted to have it in time for my husband's and my 26 year anniversary. I ordered it on 6/28 and it arrived 7/16. YAY! I was so excited to open the box, our anniversary is the 21st, so it came in time. Sadly, when we opened the box there were two large cracks in the carving on the front that went all the way through to the inside of the bench. This was very upsetting, on many levels (price, expectations). I contacted customer service immediately with pictures of the issue, and they responded within 24 hours that they will process a replacement. Great! I was very happy with the customer service. I figured it would take a couple of weeks to get the replacement, similar to my first order. I check online, and the item is backordered until November! So, I think what it comes down to is the quality control on the items. This piece is hand carved and very beautiful. I just wish it was in the condition I would expect for the price. Maybe after this fiasco Grandin Road will work on the quality control and assurance of this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tardis89 from Beautiful bench, antique blue is too dark I really like the design on the front of the bench, and there is plenty of storage room inside for our small apartment. It's a nice solid wood, and not too heavy either. My complaint is that the antique navy color is much darker in person than in the pictures, and unfortunately looks almost black when the lighting isn't quite right. I wanted this bench to bring a pop of color to our room, but it barely looks blue at all in some lighting. I wish I had gone with the natural wood finish instead, but exchanges and returns are such a hassle with this company that I didn't want to go through the trouble. The bench also took ~3 months to arrive after I ordered.

It was replaced in a timely manner and the staff at grandin Road were so helpful. The drivers were courteous and efficient. The replacement arrived with a cracked cover. It too was returned..... was offered to wait until in stock once again. Probably will wait since it is beautiful.. they also offered refund of full costs. I have ordered from them before and it has always met my expectations or surpassed it. So, this too will be rectified !

If you got closer, you could see the fit and finish of the boat left a lot to be desired. So it is with the marisol bench-looks great from a distance but the fit and finish leave a lot to be desired. Coarse and rough finish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gooselord from Cracked after one month I got my Marisol bench in late august; it is now September and by bench is cracked! I am so disappointed. I love the look of this bench, but it is NOT crafted well. I have opened it literally twice and sat on once. I can probably repair it myself, but NOT worth the price tag.

Obviously shipped and packaged that way. Trying a third time. Will cancel order if happens again. Made in India.
