Melrose Area Rug is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rug Purchased the red runner and 2x3 rug for my kitchen. It appears to be good quality and the color is definitely red (I find many reds online turn out to be more rust). It feels soft and looks nice. The backing is fabric which was important to me because it is placed on a wood floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this rug I have this rug in teal as well. Love it so much I decided to get it in blue for the winter months. The design is simple yet adds something to the room. Nicely made as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality As soon as I saw this rug in Grandin Road's catalog I knew it would be perfect for my living room update. I was a little skeptical about purchasing on line, but I am so glad I took the chance. Even though it was listed as out of stock and was going to take several weeks to be shipped, to my surprise, it arrived within a week. It is a beautiful rug and really makes a statement. Great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great purchase This rug is exactly what we wanted and really enhances the bedroom. It goes beautifully with the bedding. The color is just as expected. I wanted Navy and it is a nice navy color. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this rug. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic rug! Love, love, love! Exactly as pictured. Beautiful deep blue, not navy. Thick and feels great under your feet. Looks very rich and makes a bold statement. Has shed a little, but nothing substantial. I wish I could describe the color more accurately but it's difficult. The best description I can give is that it is like a marine blue, lighter than navy but I believe will work with other navy items. Very happy I bought this fabulous rug. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runner I ordered the runner in navy blue. The color is bright and quality is good. Very comfortable under bare feet. I hope it lasts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from melrose rug The rug is quite nice so far. It is a much brighter blue than anticipated. I thought it would be a darker navy as it seemed in the picture.

Is the white rope part raised up. I have three dogs and was wondering if their paws would pick or unravel this.thanks

Asked by: Anonymous
No, it's not raised up any more than the color portion but there's a pile to the entire rug. I have a dog and so far no problem (I've had the rug for about a month).

Is the white rope part actually white or off-white?

Asked by: Anonymous
The. white looks white but I wouldn't say it's a stark white. I have white drapes and molding in the same room and it looks fine along side of it.

Does the rug shed? Is it good for higer traffic areas?

Asked by: Danielle
No shedding problems in the last year. I have the rug in the living room so traffic is lighter.

Are the fibers of this rug woven into backing or just glued down?

I purchased a rug from a carpet store, but did not realized that it was glued down and not woven. This meant that it was possible to grasp a fiber and pull, easily removing it from the backing. I realize that cats can be particularly hard on any rug, but even the vacuum pulled up the fibers.
Asked by: Feline Friendly
Hi. I answered your question yesterday. However, I have to make a correction. I looked at the bottom of the rug more carefully, and realized it is glued. If you pull hard on an individual fiber, it comes out. It is NOT woven. It has not happened to my rug yet with many vacuums, but when I pulled, it did come out. I wanted to make sure to let you know. I've only had this rug for a month.
