Great Halloween decorations
This cauldron looks very pretty and realistic, especially with smoker going. I have it displayed with 2 sets of the holding hands witched circling it. Looks great!

For those people who are saying the fogger sits too deep in the cauldron: the bowl goes ON TOP OF THE CAULDRON. Such a cool decoration if you know how to put it together.

Love this!
Just as pictured and described. Works well and adds great atmosphere. I was afraid I would have to keep filling the water frequently but it lasted all Halloween evening on one fill to indicated level. I like that this one is metal and I thinks its totally worth the price.

I just received this item today and it isn't making enough fog to fill the cauldron and is definitely not spilling over the top, does it need to run for a bit or should it fill right away? I'm afraid it isn't working properly

Can it be used without the mister? I actually would just like to use the cauldron as a prop without the mister. Can you take the mister and cord out? Does it look strange without it?

Mist deflector
We cannot get the mist deflector to stay centered over the mister unit. We also cannot get the mister unit to stop floating around. It doesn't seem to matter if we use minimum or maximum water levels. Any suggestions for stabilizing the unit and deflector together?

Yes and Yes it does sit flat without it. Also The bowl insert isn't very deep. A bowl( that's include) has to be placed inside cauldron in order to have any functionality.

Is there a purpose to the plastic mist cover? Seems more of a nusisamce.
When I put mist cover on, there was very little mist, worked better without it. Am I doing something wrong?
I think you must be doing something wrong. I thought the same thing at first, but after a bit of tweaking, I found it worked much better with the cover over it at giving it a fog like appearance rather than just spraying upward.

No it only has an on or off feature from plugging it in.
That said you are really paying for the metal caldron. The mister itself is cheap and somewhat tacky, I suggest purchasing a better mister unit for the caldron on Amazon

The Foggy Halloween Cauldron (30022) is made with a wire frame covered with mesh fabric, and this item is a hammered metal cauldron resting on a separate stand. Neither item should "spit" water.
