Faux Boxwood Garden Dog - Moxie is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 129.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from save your money purchased Moxie and Casey last year---they were protected from the hot sun here in Arizona--the boxwood has shed all over--going bald!! to bad --we really liked them and so cute--even changed the collars and leash--
Date published: 2019-06-09
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cute but lasted one season I live in New England and purchased this for last summer. It was safely put away in the fall and just taken out again and I was disappointed to discover it is disintegrating. It has discolored and the leaves are falling off in strips. I called to complain but was told it’s been 373 days and they only guarantee for 365. They did offer me “free shipping” if I want another one but there’s no way I would repurchase this. My advice is don’t waste your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Moxie I purchased Moxie. He was adorable but doesn’t last in Florida sun. You get about 1-2 years then breaks down

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color Not As Pictured and Quality Poor I bought my Moxie 1.5 years ago and the color never seemed as bright as it did on the website and definitely faded more as time went by. Also, like a few other reviews, I recently threw it away because the greenery became so brittle, you would touch or move it, and tons of leaves would fall off. My dog was also never in direct sunlight but on my covered patio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely will not hold up After one season of sun in Ohio, the plastic became brittle. Pieces were constantly breaking off. Very disappointed considering the cost. The piece ended up in the garbage.
Date published: 2019-05-29
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not aging well....further to my last review Super cute at first, but fades quickly, has lots of stray runners where he's losing 'hair'. Poor thing barely stands upright -- I have to lean him against a wall, so he looks even more sad.
Date published: 2019-05-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loved Casey BUT he is not weather-resistant! Casey is brittle and falling apart after just 9 months in the Florida sun. Someone just told me I should have sprayed him with Scotchguard to preserve him. Wish I had known!
Date published: 2019-05-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adorable --for about a year Purchased about a year ago -- left outside. Now there are multiple strands of topiary that are loose -- color fades quickly as well. Would purchase again if it goes on super sale.

What is the dog made of? Metal that can be bent? Love this dog but not the leg lifting is it something than can be bent back to standing position?

Asked by: Emma2381
Thank you for your interest in the Peabody Faux Boxwood Garden Dog. This item is made of plastic and polyester faux greenery on a sturdy wire frame. The frame is not designed to be bend and the leg cannot be lowered. However, we do carry two other Faux Boxwood Garden Dogs that do not have raised legs.

Can you take a cable through a leg or somewhere to lock him down?

Asked by: San928
Thank you for your interest in the Peabody Faux Boxwood Garden Dog. We do not recommend putting a cable through these as it would destroy the greenery and could void the warranty.

Can metal landscaping staples be used to hold the dog to the ground securely? Do they look like real plants?

Asked by: mariematt
Thank you for your interest in the Faux Boxwood Garden Dogs. The faux greenery in this item is designed to look realistic. The sturdy wire frame should hold these dogs up, but landscaping staples could be used.

Can you tell me what size dog collar (length in inches) each respective dog could wear? I've purchased these for a gift and would like to present them wearing collars!

Asked by: sdillon
Thank you for your interest in the Faux Boxwood Garden Dogs. I would say a medium sized collar would fit all three of them.
