We love these rockers
We had four. Living on the Gulf coast it’s really hard to find things that will withstand the weather. One started to show a little wear so we decided to replace two of them and move the spare inside. That’s how great we think they are. I have a lot of Grandin Road both inside and outdoors. It is my “go to” place and never disappoints.

Great Rockers!
I had three red, moved to the back patio. I ordered two for me (meringue) and two for my son in blue. There are rub marks on the left arm on all 4 from packing( tiny blemish) and a broken back was replaced quickly, and efficiently. Love these Rocking chairs!

Great chairs
I bought these chairs and a little table with them also about a month ago. They are very nice quality and a comfortable chair to sit in. We set them on our front stoop and they enhance the look of our house.

Beautiful Color and Great Quality!
I bought a bench in the Neptune color about 2 years ago and when I decided to put 2 rockers on the porch I was very happy to see the rockers were still available in that color. They arrived well packed and perfect. The bench has not faded and everything matched. My house has medium yellow walls and white trim and they look beautiful! Added a couple of your colorful pillows to the bench and rockers and it is perfect!

Nice look, questionable quality
We love the look of these chairs. However, upon ordering a test chair for our new front porch, we were disappointed by the quality. There are only four pieces that need to be put together, and yet each one of these four pieces have damaged paint and/or cracked wood. Returning this item is more hassle than it's worth, so we will live with this product. We are, however, disappointed.

I have a question about the color "weathered Gray". On my computer it looks like a dark brown. None of the pictures show that color. Can you send me a picture of the chair in that color? Also, how much assembly is required?

Do these chairs need to be sanded before applying the urethrane. Also in one previous question the person that answered said to apply polyurethane and other answers said urethane. So does it matter which is applied.
Thank you for your interest in the Nantucket Rocking Chairs. We do not recommend sanding the chair, you could remove the paint. These come with a hand-applied polyurethane finish, however, you could use urethane when reapplying.

what kind of urethane do we use? oil based or water? Is this something you can spray on to protect it or does it need to be painted on by a brush?
Thank you for your interest in the Nantucket Rocking Chair. You will want to use a polyurethane, it can be purchased at any hardware store. They have spray and brush options, how you would prefer to apply it is up to you. Look for a finish that has additives for ultraviolet protection. The label should say for exterior use so the dried finish will flex with the expanding and contracting wood.
