How many holes does one need to drill into the house, to hang a 4', 3', and 2' box?  We live in an old brick-facade townhouse, and our homeowners association wants us to be careful about not drilling too many holes into the old bricks.

Asked by: bigsky
Thank you for your interest in the Nantucket Self-watering Window Planter. Each mounting bracket will require 2 holes in the mounting surface. The 2' planter uses 2 brackets and the 3' and 4' planters each use 3 brackets.

Will the box sit flush against a vertical wall?  We have lots of birds in our area, and they tend to nest behind shutters.  I want to make sure there is no room for them to nest behind the flower boxes.

Asked by: bigsky
Thank you for your interest in the Nantucket Self-watering Window Planter. This planter can be mounted flush against most smooth surfaces. However, this would depend on the particular location and surface material where you intend to mount the planter. Certain surfaces or locations may leave a gap behind the planter.
