Pre-lit Flocked Alpine Tree is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 114.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Charlie Brown Tree It definitely has some bare spots on it and it the white fake snow falls off easily but I like it because it's whimsical looking. It should have been less money though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plesantly surprised Never ordered before and was skeptical. But reviews were confirmed when I recieved the tree. Very nice. Not quite as realistic as I had hoped but still nice. And unable to find anything close whether on line or retail. Worth the price

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute addition for empty corner Very decorative but sheds the snow particles easily not fun if you have carpeting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tree We ordered this tree to serve as a second tree for our family room. It is a nice addition and it looks great in the corner. The only negative is the white frosting on the tree flakes off and make a little bit of a mess. Otherwise very happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slender snowy trees I have the whole set, all sizes. This will be my 2nd yr coming to use them. So, I have a better idea of how I want to design them this yr. The quality, is just ok for the price, however they are the right fit for my needs. I was happy with the light weight of them, even the 7ft. I did enjoy them last season, decorated for the holidays, undecorated for the whole winter, yes, I left them up all winter, next to a cozy fireplace, they looked cheery, like having an indoor forest. They take up very little space. With all this said, I am pleased with them even with some of the imperfections.. looking forward to putting then back up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5ft Pre-lit Alpine Tree The tree is very nice it is smaller then I thought I will order the 6ft and pair them together for a better look. The lights are a good amount . I took another persons advice and opened it outdoors as the snow is alittle messy. My only complaint is the tree is not exactly straight it leans alittle to one side I think if I send it back I have a 50 50 chance it will be the same it depends on how the hole was drilled in the bottom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK purchase Very cute! @4ft. Pretty skinney.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful trees, but lights didn’t last Only had the 6’ pre-lit flocked tree up for 2 Christmas seasons and lights were out in top half by end of the second time we had it up. Bummer because it’s a beautiful tree and a statement in our home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We call it wonky The hole drilled in the base is not perpendicular so the tree sits at an angle. One branch was already loose when it arrived and a couple more have also come out of the very shallow holes that were meant to hold them. The wad of hot glue is not sufficient to keep them secured. No amount of "fluffing" will fix those issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Little disappointed This is just ok at best..I ordered the 5' and it's definitely NOT worth that price. Doesn't look like the pic at all, make sure and fluff it ALOT!!! I may just keep it, not sure, added burlap with pillow filling and check bow to try and jazz it up..kinda leans a bit to the side. Surprised at the quality especially from grandin road.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as pictured These looked so pretty and full in the picture but when they arrived they are not nearly as full. You can see the middle of the tree through the branches even though I have moved them around to make it look fuller. I think the price and what you get doesn't match up. Also, after putting one of them together it stands slightly crooked.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from "Charlie Brown" We really love the size of this tree and all the "snow" and lights on it. It fits in the small place where our tree sits. But my only complaint is that there are some very evident bare spots with no branches. I tried pulling some branches from the back and side but this ploy did not work. Some of the branches are very weak and I am afraid to bend them to make the appeance nicer. There is a nice amount of lights on it and there were extras in the box. Good thing beacuse I have already used two new bulbs for the two that already burned out! But it looks pretty at night!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but not Perfect After reading countless rave reviews about this tree I guess my expectations were a bit high. It arrived on time and the lights all work (evidently this was an issue voiced by a few reviewers). However, the tree (I ordered the 7') wasn't at all as nice as I expected it to be. Some of the lights were strung haphazardly resulting in bare "dark" spots in a couple of areas and the branches seemed very scarce altogether. I initially intended to use this in our wine room (which has a very beautiful window facing the front yard) but once I removed it from the box it I realized it would not suffice. The top piece is quite crooked and the tree leans to one side even though I've made several adjustments. That said, it does make a beautiful addition to our front door area on the exterior of the house. From the street at night it glows beautifully and adds a nice touch of class to our main entry. One more in a smaller size probably would have looked very lovely and I may consider this in the future. Overall, however, I didn't think this tree was worth the price even with 20% off. Like other reviewers mentioned the flocking is VERY messy, particularly when the branches are adjusted (a necessity) so keep this in mind should you decide to purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flocked Alpine Tree Not enough branches, the trunk stood out!
Date published: 2016-12-13
Rated 3 out of 5 by from not very happy Before ordering these trees I read all the 5 star reviews, so I had high hopes. I ordered 2 3ft trees when they were 50% off. One of the trees looks pretty good. The second tree is a little crooked and looks skimpy compared to the first tree. The flocking clumped and stuck branches together. I was told the cords were 24 inches, but they are more like 18 inches. The branches will not hold my Old World Christmas ornaments, so I will use picks to decorate the 2 trees. The flocking is a mess so open these trees outside. Maybe the larger trees are wonderful, but sorry to say, my trees are just ok.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very happy I ordered several of these trees with flock and without and honestly I was disappointed at the quality. One of them does not light at the top and I have tried all the trouble shooting they tell you to try. I have thrown the box away, therefore can not send the tree back.
Date published: 2016-11-22
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Crooked tree I bought the 4 foot and 6 foot trees and they are cute, however, the hole that was drilled for the 4 ft tree was not centered. When the tree is placed in the stand, it has a severe tilt. I am giving 3 stars because I have to return the 4 ft tree. Otherwise, they are cute trees, and very slim. You really have to buy the tree skirt or else the tree looks odd with the long trunk at the bottom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adorable These trees are adorable. I bought the 4', 6' and the 7' to go beside my fireplace. They are super cute. My only complaint is that they are not of the best quality for the price. I had the same issues as others with them not being straight and needing a whole lot of adjusting. Mine also had some chunks of green plastic that were supposed to be shredded into the green needles but weren't. I tried to remove them but there were sealed in with the flocking. I figured they would be better made for Grandin to carry them. But despite the issues, I will keep them as they are the only ones I could find to fit the spot I wanted them in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the trees I love the Alpine trees-- I bought 3-- a 3 foot, 4 foot, and 5 foot tree-- to create a sweet little Christmas forest. They are wonderful. My only complaint is that on the 5 foot tree, the middle strand of lights did not work. I have tried changing the fuse without success-- probably a wire problem. This should NEVER happen given the cost of the tree. I opted not to send it back due to the fact that it was too hard to do this personally and I would have been without that tree for Christmas. If I can't get it to work, will string another strand of lights on the tree separately to fill that gap.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Christmas Tree Since I got this in October, I haven't yet used it. I did take it out of the box and assemble and plugged it in to be sure it worked. It's messy! I will assemble it outside and get as much loose flocking as I can before bringing it inside.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These take work to be mediocre I was expecting to receive what was pictured. Like the other reviews, they do not look like the picture as they are very sparse. They were crushed in the box so it took a long time and lots of mess to make them tree like. How disappointing when the small tree didn’t light! Trying to determine if the return process is worth the hassle with fedex.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from First disappointment... I just purchased three of these trees for a tabletop display. The quality is just not good. Nothing like the photo. I've ordered many items from Grandinroad and this is my first negative experience. So disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad lights I really love these trees! But the lights have gone out in two of them !!! Frustrating
Date published: 2018-12-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality for the price! I purchased 3 of the flocked alpine trees and 2 of them would not fit completely in the stand and the third one did not have functioning lights. I am returning all three. I am very disappointed, as I've wanted these since last Christmas. They do not look like they do in the magazine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Have several I have the 2, 3, 4, & 5' trees. They are pretty from a distance but you can get such better trees from practically anywhere else. A shame for GrandinRoads because usually their quality is much better than these. Broken branches and not full at all. NOTHING like the photo that sold me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I agree with another reviewer “This flocked pre-lit tree just doesn't live up to Grandin Road's quality! Just received and tried spreading branches, some are stuck together with flocking and some barely have any flocking. Some of the lights are completely obliterated with flocking. Just poor quality.” It does not look like the beautiful picture in the catalog. Also There is no timer or controller and has only a 2 foot cord. So I had to get an extension cord. Can’t imagine 2 ft would be long enough for most people. Everytime I turn it on I have to crawl behind it and it makes me not want to do it. The outlet area I’m using has other items plugged in so a wemo or similar just doesn’t work there. Old house, minimal outlets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but VERY expensive for one season use I got these a couple of years ago. Lights did not even last the season - only on a couple of hours a day. When I called customer service, was told to replace fuse. Nice idea, but still didnt' work. Flocking is a mess. I bought a set of 5 of these, and for that much money expected several years of use, not barely one. Very disappointed because they are gorgeous when working

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as I had hoped I bought multiple trees to be used in a tablescape--I was disappointed in the quality of the trees. Keep 1--the rest I am sending back

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved these, but... I bought a set of 5 of these 2 years ago. Looked SO lovely all set up in the corner of my living room! The flocking mess was a bit annoying, but I could overlook that. I was SO disappointed when I took them out the next year and not ONE of them lit up. VERY expensive for a one time use...

Where can I get fuses for the 2 foot tree?

Asked by: Joyce21
Thank you for your interest in the Pre-Lit Flocked Alpine Trees. These trees use 3A 120V fuses, which may be found in most hardware stores or other stores which offer holiday lighting. A small packet of replacement bulbs and fuses are included with each of these trees.

My tree arrived and there is a Prop 65 warning for lead on the box. I haven’t opened it because I want to know more, however, it doesn’t appear on the website. Which parts have lead?

Asked by: MegTheScientist
Thank you for your interest in the Pre-lit Flocked Alpine Tree. Having Proposition 65 warnings on products has become very common. Because a vast majority of retailers, including ourselves, do not segregate their California vs. non-California inventory, many products are delivered to and/or purchased by consumers outside the state of California with this warning label. Frontgate is vigilant in its compliance with Prop 65 and works closely with its vendor partners to ensure they do the same. This label is required, even in cases of trace amounts of these substances. Most electrical items contain lead in the power cords. However, please rest assured quality and safety are our top priority.
