Pre-lit Pinecone Christmas Greenery Collection is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from pitiful pinecones this is the second of these that I've ordered. The first one was great but this one's pinecones were flattened on top. Could have been better or scrutinized more closely.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the Balls But the Greenery is Insuffcient The pine cone ball is perfect but the greenery is sparse and the picture in the catalog is misleading. Wish I could order more of the pinecone balls only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty but Pricey Really looks nice in my pot but I used real greenery because I didn't like the look of the faux greenery. The pre-lit pinecone ball is very cool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but could be improved... First, I'm not a paid reviewer, I'm a REAL customer. I have the tall and short copper planters. The length of the shaft...the part attached to the pinecone ball which you insert into the metal stake...is too short, especially for the tall planter...makes the ball look sunken. As for the metal stake, the planters' inserts do not have holes in them so you will have to drill a hole yourself in each, and then another...if you're like me and want as-hidden-as-can-be plug-ins... in the bottom of the base of each. The greenery is beautiful; however, I agree with other reviews that an extra 2 sections would have produced a more full and acceptable result. Seems the creator had a good concept but fell really short on the actual installation/setup of the greenery/balls in the planters by the customer. To resolve these issues, the shafts should be made much longer and preferably with adjustable lengths to meet each person's needs...if someone doesn't actually use the copper planters from Grandin Road; add 2 more sections of greenery, and make pre-drilled holes in the planters' inserts and bottoms large enough the pinecone ball's shaft and the plug-in can fit through. On a positive note regarding the lights, the length from the plug-in to the first light was sufficient so that there was plenty of wiring which allowed the plug-in to stretch from the top insert out the bottom of the planter. Also, the pinecone ball is really attractive. I think it might have been nice to have had the greenery pre-lit as well...or maybe just the greenery lit and not the pinecone ball. Nonetheless, I'll be keeping these and using for years to come...maybe adding my own lights to the greenery. It just seems, for the money, these frustrating issues could have and should have been resolved prior to placing them on the market.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Distinctive but could be improved This is a very unique display and it is easy to assemble. The only drawback is that there is simply too little foliage/greenery to adequately fill out the display. The unit would be greatly improved if it had 5-6 greenery "arms" instead of just the 4. I had to add additional greenery to make it as full as the product pictured.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pre-Lit Pinecone Sphere & Greenery The pictures of this item are a bit misleading. It appears that there is an abundance of greenery surrounding the sphere, but once unpacked and spread out, you find that - with only 4 'branches of greenery - it's much more sparse than the photo shows. This item would have benefitted greatly by adding another couple of branches of greenery. Also, the description says it has a sturdy wire frame that fits neatly in planters. Not so much. There is a round metal disk with a hole in the top that the sphere and branches are supposed to slide into - not a wire frame. I have tall square planters and assumed that this 'wire frame' would fit inside them. But, if you leave the planter insert inside, the whole arrangement sits up far too high for the look pictured. If I remove the insert, there is nowhere to place the round disk to hold the sphere and greenery. You just have to hook them together and push the whole thing down until it 'resembles' the picture - only with much less greenery. I had to put bags of rocks in the bottom of the planters to weigh them down so the whole thing wouldn't tip over in the wind. These really should have some kind of a large, square metal framework to hold the whole thing in place and slide into a planter. I just threw the disks away, since they are useless inside the planters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Greenery could be more lush The greenery is a bit skimpier than in the picture. I had to add four large pieces from my own collection to achieve the fullness as shown in the picture. These are wide planters. Otherwise I love them and look forward to using for many years to come.

Would this work in a pot rather than an urn?

Do you have any pictures of this in a pot?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes! Depending on the depth and width of the pot. If you have soil in the pot, the greenery has a stake that you can insert into the soil. If not, you would have to do something to stablize it from underneath. The pinecone ball is heavier than the greenery it sits on.
