The stools are exactly as pictured. They are stylish, comfortable, and tuck in nicely. They add to the beauty of the kitchen bar. They adjust up and down easily, and the swivel is a must. Real cuties!!!

Love these stools!
Sturdy and high quality stools. Although a little different on each stool (we bought 4), the wood is beautiful. We love the swivel bases that allow for different height options.

Love the quality and style of these stools. What sold me was the ability to adjust the seat height to fit exactly how I wanted. I was locked into "bar" or "counter" height.

Nice, quality stools
These are solid and heavy and comfortable. I also like the color because it makes a nice contrast with the other colors in my kitchen. I recommend these if you like the look of them in the picture. Only downside is that because of their shape they don’t slid all the way under my island.

I've had many adjustable stools for studio use over the years. I can't seem to adjust this stool at all ----- 'does it twist to go up or down? or is it "locked" in to a height, then needs to be "unlocked" to change height? Thank you for your help!
I can now answer my own question: for whatever reason, my stool was 'locked' into the lowest height. After adding oil, and then hammering the stool legs in the direction they needed move, all is finally well: the stool swivels freely up and down, no worse for the hammer to the legs.

Has the design changed recently or is the photo deceiving? These used to have a contoured seat to match the shape of one’s rear end, but these now appear to be completely flat. The contour of the seat is what made them comfortable.
