Rated 3 out of 5 by from Struggle to put on slipcover, but ottoman is nice I have had my eye on the Clara Slipcovered Swivel Glider for some time now, and decided to make the purchase when there was a sale and free shipping. I also bought the ottoman. The chairs are due to ship in a few weeks, but the ottoman was sent right off. Well, this is my first time with slipcovers, and what a bear it was to put on. I understand you want the fit to be snug, but there’s definitely room for improvement. First, the zipper for the ottoman slipcover is on the diagonal. That makes it impossible to roll it up and roll down over the cushion – like you might do with a sock. You need to actually roll the cushion like a hotdog and keep mushing the cushion while you work the slipcover over it. I was winded by the time I finished, but it does fit and looks good. I got the Peyton Slate, and it’s just the right shade – not too dark, not too light. In hindsight, I guess it’s a good thing the chairs won’t be delivered for a few weeks because now I have time to recover and build muscle to tackle the slipcovers for them. Still, I am happy with the ottoman, and the slipcover material is very nice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What Unhappy 101 Said...In Spades! On March 16 I ordered several slipcovered items from this and the Ava collection. The entire process has been...not a good experience to say the least. After placing the order, I was informed of the Order Details via e-mail that the Ava Sofa would not be be available until April 23 and the Clara Swivel Glider was backordered until July 16 while the ottoman was to be shipped immediately. The ottoman was delivered to our Idaho property on March 24. The slipcover to the ottoman was delivered to our Arizona property some time in May. The Ava Sofa was delivered on or about April 23 with a hole in the base of the sofa, probably from a forklift. The box the sofa was shipped in also had damage to it, again probably from a forklift. When I called to report the damaged item and after sending photos of the sofa and box, I was told a replacement sofa would not be available until July 16. On Friday, May 25, I received a phone call telling me the replacement sofa was going to be delivered on Tuesday, May 29, which, in fact, it was and intact. On Sunday, June 3, I attempted to put the slipcovers on the Clara ottoman. It was impossible to do. I called customer and technical services to inquire about how to get the slip cover on and was treated like a pariah by the customer service tech rather than a good paying customer. I was told that GR had sold hundreds of these if not thousands and had not had any complaints. Ultimately I had to enlist the help of a 6'2" 250 pound muscle man to help me bend the foam form filler in two and then attempt to slide it into the too small diagonal zippered opening. That worked but took an inordinate amount of time and effort by two people. Now being experienced at installing the slipcover on the ottoman, my SO requested we order a second ottoman. I just attempted to do that and was told that they are...wait for it...no longer available. This entire process has been so very disappointing and is an example of how there is no longer any customer service at play in the United States. And the customer is no longer always correct but has simply become a necessary nuisance...indeed, a pariah to be dealt with rather than the reason a company is in business. So very disappointing. Having said all that, the Ava sofa looks quite good once slipcovered. I am ever hopeful that the Clara chairs will arrive without any further problems. A Frustrated, Disappointed Cash Paying Customer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware My ottoman arrived this week and I just spent 30 minutes fighting to get the slipcover on the ottoman. It's impossible because the slipcover is so small. I've scrapped my hands on the zipper several times and the cushion is still only part way in the slipcover. I will not recommend this product to anyone and I dread the fact that the chair arrives on Monday. I will probably give both items away rather than assume the cost of shipping both items back to the company.

Is the top cushion a separate piece and if so, how does it attach?
