Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ghoul Dog Realistic details. Works well with one of your skeletons which I've had for several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great! This almost looks real enough to wag its bony tail. It is about the size of a large retriever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spike the Skeleton Dog I have been impressed with everything Halloween from GrandinRoad. Spike is durable and appears to be made of good quality - you can find similar skeleton dogs in other stores....somewhat cheaper, but I guarantee the quality and the way they look and feel will not be the same! Happy Haunting!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, dog! My grandchildren love this dog. We renamed him Prowler. He is large enough to sit on the floor just inside the front door where he holds in his teeth the handles of a small goody bag that I keep supplied with treats. The only issue with him is that sometimes I forget about his being there and get startled by him as I come down the stairs - but we are going to miss him when it is time to put him away until next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Spike was exactly as you described. I bought him for my son , who loves Halloween. We put a fake hand in his mouth and have a real chain around his ankle. I've had several people ask where they could get a Spike for themselves. The quality is great and he was here before the estimated delivery date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good dog, Spike Spike and Shadow were purchased as decorations for my dog training building. They have received numerous compliments from clients and some of the canine clients have touched noses with them. A few weeks ago I got a photograph of a group of dogs in a line doing their sits with Spike. Spike did a perfect sit. (smile) I'm extremely pleased with the quality and durability of both Spike and Shadow. Thanks for a fun product!

And I would like to add: Hope, the Manager in Customer Service is TOP NOTCH in my book! Simply the BEST! Thank you GrandinRoad for being my one stop shop for Halloween for years:D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Dog! I was in awe when I came across the Halloween displays on Grandin Road's website - they were amazing! Spike the skeleton dog reminded me of a doberman I once had (also named Spike). This is the only store I came across that had skeleton dogs like this one and I'm so glad I found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Pack of Pooches I received my order of Spike, Shadow & Scout Skeleton dogs just before Halloween! I giggled with excitement each time I took one out of it's box! They are just as they appear online and even better in person! Excellent quality, great detail and just the right accent for the 5' Skeleton I also purchased along with the Skeleton Rats. They made an awesome addition to my front porch and the Trick or Treaters loved them all! Thanks for another great product Grandin Road!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spike Spike is a great addition to my "family" of skeleton dogs. Moveable head and mouth allows you to pose him. He has character and charm. Well made and easy to assemble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dog! This model is more of a life-like size. Very realistic for my porch with dressed skeletons and other dogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Decoration I am impressed with the quality of this skeleton dog. I had bought a small one (from a local shop) and it looks sad next to Spike who is very realistic and charming. The head pivots a little bit so you can get a little angle to it. I wish that we could position it a little more, but it's a terrific decoration and an excellent purchase. We love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Love Spike Right size, looks so real that Spike has become one of the family.
Date published: 2015-10-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Spike! You can't remove his head for storage once you assemble him (the only assembly necessary) BUT, his head turns, his jaw opens to hold a variety of objects and his tail can be repositioned. You can personalize Spike with accessories and he never complains! We love all the comments we get from friends and family and look forward to displaying him for years to come. A fun, seasonal purchase.

Can I remove the head for storage?

How do I take the head back off for storage? Will I break it by pulling?
Asked by: Anonymous
I do not believe that the head can be successfully removed from the neck. If you still have the box, stand Spike up in the box and cover with a cloth for storage.

I cannot get this guy's head on

Based on the instructions provided I cannot figure out how to get this guys head on. I am afraid I will break it if I push too hard. Any further details you can provide?
Asked by: Anonymous
It might be a little tricky lining the head up with the neck. Look at the "hole" in the neck and look at the the piece of the head that goes into the hole. Once you are sure that you have it lined up correctly, securely hold the head and push it into the neck. If the head still refuses to be inserted in the neck the only recourse is to return the dog for a replacement.

Is this poseable?

Can you pose this dog in other ways besides the sit that it is in?
Asked by: cowboychaser
No, that's the only sitting position, you can tilt his head and open his mouth.

Can I remove his head again for storage in the shipping box?

If so, which way am I pulling his neck to release it? Thanks!
Asked by: DeanBean
Spike the Skeleton Dog can be disassembled for storage. Gently twist the head and the four legs out of their “sockets” and they will hang down as they did when the item was shipped.
