Where is this being imported from. What is Pine and what is MDF?
This is made in India, which explains the dark coloring, the quality of product and construction. Pine is a popular type of wood. This pine is reclaimed pine, which can be more like barn wood. MDF stands of medium density fiberboard.

Does this cabinet come in 2 different colors or is it the lighting?
The pictures are deceiving. The cabinet is very dark. The trim is very black and not metal. Shelves are not removable. The wood is very distressed, and deeply grooved.

The description says the shelves are removable but one of the reviews says they are not. This would make a difference in whether or not I purchased this cabinet. Are they removable?

No one knows but quite sure it’s imported. Quality is only so-so.

Could this be used for a television?
Probably not as shelves are fixed and no opening in the back for cords.

Thank you for your interest in our Thatcher Cabinet. The shelves are 37.8"L x 14"D x .94" Thick. The shelves are fixed and there is 12" between the shelves.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
This cabinet is made well. It is solid and came in one piece. The trim is black but it is so gorgeous! The shelves are strong, not adjustable. The wood is more industrial, not smooth. The shipping process was easy, and the company stayed in contact every step of the way! It was must first time ordering from this company and would do it again without a moment's hesitation. We added the lights.

Beautiful accessory piece
This piece is beautiful! It is exactly what I wanted and the picture is right on. It would be helpful to have a picture showing the inside but it’s not complicated. Shelving is adequate. I will need to figure out how to add some light inside as it’s pretty dark. Rey pleased with my purchase.

Perfect for small space

Love my Thatcher Cabinet
Love this cabinet. I was afraid it would be a little too orange in color but it wasn't and I'm very happy with it. Sturdy and just like in the picture. We added some remote control battery-operated puck lights inside. That would be my only suggestion... would be nice if it came with lighting on each shelf.

I love my Thatcher Cabinet!! It's one of my favorite pieces I have in my home. The only problem I have with it, is that it isn't level And the doors are a little difficult to open. Other than that, it's perfect!

I purchased this cabinet to replace an inexpensive bookcase I purchased 15 years ago from a big box store with a red logo! The cabinet is well made and smells of pine! I wanted to update the look in my formal living room without it looking like my grandmother did the decor...no offense granny! It is so well made and looks like it cost way more than it did......I had to order a second one! Shipping is not the fastest but oh so worth the wait!

Just what I was looking for!
This cabinet adds the right touch to my kitchen. It is a solid durable piece of furniture that adds a nice balance of warmth and elegance with rustic features. The Thatcher cabinet was supposed to come with adjustable shelves, but came with fixed shelves which I almost prefer for stability. The pine wood has a heavy texture finish to it, but this does not make it look too casual. Love the arched doors and the galvanized metal gives a striking contrast for a country feel. Will be great for storing my cookbooks and other kitchen goodies.

Cabinet arrived in excellent condition! Delivery men were very polite and considerate. It was packed so well it took my husband and me a long time to totally unpack it. It did not disappoint us. It looked exactly like the picture and was a great buy for the price!
