Why no interior photos of shelving or if adjustable; would like to see if lite gray or dark gray thx

Asked by: Paula Balmy Florida

Why is there no photo of this collection in Charcoal? I don't want white and I won't order a product that I cannot at least get an idea of the color in a photo. Thanks.

Vista Modular Base Cabinet is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly okay, but some annoying hardware problems I bought two of these a few weeks ago because I had two under-counter spaces to fill that were identical in size. I appreciate the extra depth of these units (hard to find elsewhere). The good news is that the cabinets are heavy and solid, although I wish they came in other finish options. The bad news is that the hardware and placement of the cabinet doors were really "off." With one of my cabinets, the doors were binding on each other and on the drawer. With the other cabinet, the doors wouldn't close, as if something were pushing on them to "spring" them open. The type of hinges used are not the adjustable ones that often come with build-it-yourself units sold elsewhere. Thus, if the hinges are not positioned perfectly, the doors don't line up. It was arranged to have a furniture repair guy come over, and he was at a loss (not his fault) until it dawned on me to see if using shims between the hinge and cabinet side and/or door would work. Thank goodness I had saved some 0.75mm plastic strips that we were able to screw in between the hinge and door, or hinge and frame, in order to align the doors. In one case, we removed the door friction, and in the other case, we pulled the door slightly away from the cabinet frame so that the door could close (it was the frame that was pushing the door open!). If I didn't have those shims, the repair guy would not have been able to solve the problems. He was here for two hours working on the cabinets. Another hardware problem is that the drawer's ring pulls do not protrude far enough away from the drawer face. The upshot is that the rings rest almost against the drawer, so that you have to run your fingers along the drawer face to grab the rings. As for the cabinet knobs, two of mine had to be filed so as to remove a sharp protrusion on the back. I've already bought replacement knobs, and am searching for replacement drawer pulls. Unfortunate, really. I'll say I recommend this, but with a warning about possible annoying hardware tweaking.
