Great for Harry Potter Hogwarts Snow Halloween
I love this pumpkin. I bought a number of them because it went perfect with our white Halloween decorations for our Harry Potter Hogwarts in the snow theme. Because it is painted with flat white primer (kind of chalky) and not gloss paint it has more of a snow appearance. I love how when the light is low it has a spooky appearance. It looked great at night beside the evil Lord Voldemort. If you don't want it to look spooky you can just shine a white light on it and it will stay very close to its normal white appearance. I feel this pumpkin will look awesome with skeletons so next year we will add it to our Pirates of the Caribbean Halloween theme.

Problem With On/Off Switch
I really love the look of this pumpkin, but the quality of the on/off switch is quite flimsy and very hard to use. I am hoping that it holds up and doesn't break. This is not the quality I expect from Grandin Road. I have purchased many, many items from you and this one is disappointing. It's too bad that it doesn't have a timer switch like the other pumpkins I have from you.

Spooky glow
An interesting piece. Leave in a well-lit room and it appears pretty close to as picture on the website. If it's displayed in low light, however, the pumpkin seems to darken even as the light filters through, allowing for the jack-o-lantern face to stand out more distinctly and displaying flaws in the construction, which give it a much spookier appearance. Looks great pared with a skeleton decoration.

Beware
I have been buying resin pumpkins, Christmas boxes, and many other holiday decorations from GR and have never been disappointed until this purchase. The item looks very nice and white in the picture. In reality, it is chalky and looks like it is painted with a primer and still needs the final coat of paint. After I put the batteries in, it only got worse. It is all blotchy looking and not white at all. Perhaps this is how it is supposed to be but it is awful compared to all GR other pumpkins. Very disappointing. Just beware if you are expecting it to appear as pictured.
