I wanted something simple, stylish, easy to keep clean, and no assembly. These are solid pieces. I thought the finish would be lighter, like an acorn color, but the darker, medium finish is beautiful, so I wasn't disappointed. The tables did have a noticeable wood lumber smell for about a week. I want to order the matching console table, but it doesn't look like the console table will be available to ship for about 5-6 months.
