They came packaged with empty boxes at the chair legs and stool seats which prevented damage to the furniture. These are super comfortable, made well, and I expect will outlast me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great counter stools We bought four of these counter stools to use at the kitchen island in our new home in Santa Fe. All four arrived well-boxed and without a scratch. They look great and are comfortable to sit in. The fabric is a tiny bit scratchy on bare legs but that characteristic seems to be abating after just a few days. The chairs are well-made, very sturdy, and have gotten rave reviews from friends that have seen them in place. We are very happy with this choice.

I wonder why it took me so long to replace them! We ordered three of them… I wish I had room for more. PS, my cats love to sleep on them at night.
