Solar lights do not work there because there is not enough sun due to northern exposure. Many times I need to step outside onto that porch at night, and am greeted by a light in the darkness. I love the battery operated candle.

Even though there are motion detector lights that come on when someone gets close to the door, these candles come on automatically and stay on for specified time giving the house a welcoming look.

I set up different sizes of the candles in each of my large planters on our back patio. It looks so pretty all lit up at night! It’s a whole mood if you will. I love them!
